Hearing Loki's words, the force of Cheetu's punch intensified, fueled by extreme rage. But it was all futile. His fist passed right through Loki's body, his entire being charging through Loki's form as if he were a ghost.

In that instant, Cheetu didn't understand what had happened. He turned around.

Loki was still standing in the same spot, untouched, as if he'd never moved.

'He dodged it?' Cheetu thought, glancing at Loki. 'No! That's impossible. He didn't move at all. He couldn't have dodged it.' He raised his fists again, preparing to strike.

"Where are you looking?" a voice said.

Suddenly, Loki vanished from before him. The voice came from behind.

Cheetu spun around.

Nothing.

"Can't even locate your enemy?" Loki's voice seemed to emanate from all directions at once.

Cheetu looked up sharply.

He was standing on the frozen lake, Loki standing perfectly still on the shore, his wine-red hair swaying gently in the breeze. A bead of cold sweat trickled down Cheetu's face, dripping onto the ice.

He slowly looked at the mirror-like surface of the lake.

A pair of crimson eyes stared back at him from beneath the ice, piercing and intense.

Those red eyes... filled Cheetu with an overwhelming sense of dread. They were more terrifying than any gaze he had ever encountered.

Even the eyes of the King, whom he considered the most fearsome being, didn't inspire the same level of fear as the red eyes beneath the ice.

'What's going on?' 'What is this human, really?' 'Why is he faster than me?' 'Where is this all-consuming cold coming from?'

The eyes beneath the ice seemed to see through him, exposing his deepest fears and weaknesses.

He suddenly remembered Loki on the shore.

He looked back, but Loki was gone. He spun around, searching frantically.

The sky darkened instantly.

Ice spread rapidly from the lake, freezing the entire world in a matter of seconds.

A bone-chilling cold swept over him, a cold unlike anything he had ever experienced.

Cheetu curled into a ball, desperately seeking warmth, his limbs feeling as if they were turning to ice.

At this point, Cheetu was no longer capable of rational thought. He couldn't comprehend why the environment had suddenly transformed into an apocalyptic wasteland. All he wanted was warmth, a fire to thaw his frozen limbs.

Suddenly, a red light appeared in the distance.

'Fire!' Cheetu jumped to his feet, his eyes fixated on the red glow.

The red light was now his only hope.

He started running, desperately sprinting towards the distant flames.

'There's fire! I'm saved!'

BOOM!!! BOOM! BOOM!

Suddenly, the ice vanished, and the sky returned to normal.

Cheetu's eyes widened in horror.

He was surrounded by flames.

On the shore, Loki stood calmly, watching him with an expression of utter disdain.

The flames exploded across the frozen lake, engulfing Cheetu in a fiery inferno.

He was reduced to a pile of ashes in moments.

The injured man on the ground watched Cheetu's death in stunned silence. The events were so bizarre, so surreal, that they felt like a dream.

Cheetu had stood still, allowing Loki to rip out his throat.

Then, he'd acted like a madman, running towards the lake.

He'd run in place, as if trying to escape something unseen.

Then, Loki had casually created a ball of fire and thrown it at him.

The attack was so slow, it should have been easily avoidable.

But Cheetu had run straight into it.

Everything was incredibly strange and unsettling.

Only when Cheetu had been reduced to ashes did Loki turn to leave.

The injured man on the ground looked at Loki, his eyes filled with terror.

"Sa..."

He managed to utter a single syllable before a pair of crimson eyes locked onto him, freezing him in place.

He thought he saw a shadowy red figure behind Loki, its jaws wide, devouring Cheetu's soul.

When he came to his senses, Loki was gone.

He lay on the ground, gasping for breath.

The events that had just transpired felt like a nightmare.

The monster was dead! The strange boy had vanished as if he'd never existed.

But the fire by the lake proved that someone had been there.

He couldn't tell what was real and what was a hallucination.

'That kid... was he human or ghost?' He lay there, gasping for breath, the question echoing endlessly in his mind.

Skkkrrrttt! Killua stopped abruptly, sliding across the ground for several meters before regaining his balance.

Gon stopped beside him.

"Why do you want to find Loki?" Killua asked, looking up at Gon.

Gon replied, his voice resolute, "I need to get stronger quickly. Only Loki can help me."

Killua's expression darkened. He opened his mouth to speak, then hesitated, unsure of what to say.

Loki was a wanted criminal. Contacting him could bring trouble.

However, Killua had to admit that Loki was incredibly strong and might have a way to quickly increase their power.

Despite this, Killua felt uneasy about contacting Loki.

It wasn't just fear.

Killua couldn't quite articulate the reason.

Perhaps it was partly because he had always viewed Loki as an enemy.

After all, Loki had attacked the Zoldyck estate, defeating his father and grandfather.

Of course, Silva and Zeno hadn't fought seriously, but they had still lost.

Whether it was due to carelessness or some other factor, two individuals whose combined age was several times greater than Loki's shouldn't have lost, even if they were holding back.

Killua, who deeply respected his father, had harbored resentment towards Loki ever since that day.

Perhaps it was jealousy, or perhaps it was a sense of foreboding.
