Anna's eyes widened in surprise, heart stuttering as the crowd charged at her. For a brief second, she wondered if the exclusive session had ended.
Rage flickered over Kathryna's face as realization suddenly dawned on her with the crowd's focus on Anna.
"Ms. Lorenzo!" a woman called from the crowd, pulling out her phone with trembling hands. "I just wanted to say what happened to you was awful. But the way you've handled it? It was inspiring. Can I take a picture with you?"
Anna blinked, stunned by the sudden shift in energy. She barely nodded before the woman was beside her, beaming for the camera. The flash went off.
"Thank you," the woman said, then walked right past Kathryn and Sophie as if they were invisible.
More people began to ask Anna for pictures.
Kathryn's jaw clenched. She turned away from the crowd that had barely noticed their presence and stormed back to the front desk.
The receptionist looked up immediately as though she had been expecting her to come.
