It was a tablet.
Anna frowned, her brow arching with curiosity.
Aidan has another phone? Why didn't he mention it?
She touched the screen but the phone was obviously not turned on. She contemplated dropping it and leaving but a force kept pushing her to continue her intrusion on his privacy.
Before she could stop herself, her thumb pressed the power button. A soft chime echoed, and the screen blinked to life.
Aidan's face appeared almost instantly.
He was dressed immaculately in a tailored suit, sitting with calculated ease on the hood of a black sedan. His black shoes gleamed, and a Rolex caught the sunlight on his wrist, glinting like it belonged on the cover of a magazine.
Anna blinked. What?
Confusion clouded her mind as she stared at the image. The man on the screen looked like someone else entirely. He wasn't giving the vibe of the same man she was living with, as a roommate and her bartender-fake-husband.
