Kathryn's hand trembled as she watched the reporters shoving their microphone at Warren.
Jessica's hand clamped around Kathryn's to hide her fear. Kathryn turned slowly to Jessica who gave her the I-told-you look, before dragging her out.
As they walked briskly past the crowd, Kathryn caught sight of Anna and Aidan from her peripheral view, but refused to look directly at them.
She was scared they'd see the fear in her eyes. And she was scared of seeing the victorious smile on Aidan's face.
She was enraged that he went against his words and still showed Warren the pictures. That was the only thing that could make Warren this livid.
She was sure Aidan was behind it.
As soon as they were out of the hall, Jessica let go of her hand and immediately pulled out her phone from her purse, her fingers moving with urgency.
She dialed a number, and Kathryn began to pace restlessly, waiting for the person on the other end to pick up.
Each second crawled away, making her panic increase.
