Selina and Zane arrived at Cassius Estate and entered the main manor, where the elders were seated, displaying complex expressions. The tension in the air was thick and conflicted after their long discussion before the young couple arrived.
"Sit down," Elder Lucas said, noticing Selina standing before him.
Selina took a seat across from them, while Zane began to sit as well, but he heard the Chairman's furious voice snap.
"I didn't tell you to sit. You deserve punishment; you will stand for a week!" he declared, trying to contain his rage but it spiralled.
Selina shifted her attention to her grandfather, who didn't spare her a glance.
"I heard from Gilbert that you are Hudson's illegitimate daughter, outcast due to a scandal," Elder Lucas remarked. "I hope what happened between you and Zane isn't a repeat of the past. You didn't intentionally seduce him, did you?"
