Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

I just shook my head in amusement as Rias began to look around the shop, her eyes sparkling with delight as she took in the surroundings.

"This totally feels like a Fantasy Anime's Apothecary," Rias said with delight as she kept looking around. "Just look at all these potions...!"

She looked over to Tria and her eyes lit up even more. "And just look, this person must be some fantasy being that doesn't exist in our world!"

Tria just looked at her in pure bewilderment- even if they didn't have a face yet- before they just shook their head and continued to dust off the shelves.

"President, you're being rude," Akeno told her.

Rias blushed a little bit. "O- Oh, yes, you're right, my apologies," she said to Tria before she turned her gaze to me and then she stopped moving as she looked at me.

As our eyes met, I felt something pass between us. Almost like a faint resonance between our magical energies.

"... Do I... Know you?" Rias asked.

"I've never met you before in my life," I told her honestly. I knew of her, but I'd never met Rias until now.

"I... Yes, you're right," she nodded quickly and shook her head. "Sorry about that, it's not often I meet someone with red hair- especially hair that's so close to my particular shade."

I waved it off, brushing off the strange moment. "Don't worry about it. My name is Lynx Tiberius, and this is my Interdimensional Shop- Unlimited. Right now, our only other World Connection is a modern world where Magic doesn't exist. So, if you were hoping to go to a Fantasy world, I'm sorry."

Rias's eyes lit up again. "This place can go to other worlds!?"

"Yes, but the residents have to find my shop and enter first," I confirmed her words. "Now then, how can I help you?"

Akeno stepped forward and smiled. "I'm sure you already know why," she told me.

"The System," I nodded. "It will cost five-"

I cut myself off when I noticed Akeno giving me a look that said, 'I paid you more than that, you will charge them the same amount.'

This girl wanted to bankrupt Rias...

"Fifty Million Yen a Person," I changed my words quickly. "However, since I presume multiple of you will be wanting the System, I'll knock off 50%. So, twenty-five million a person. Sound good?"

"Sounds perfect!" Rias nodded happily.

I gave a swift nod, before I took the chance to use Analyse on them besides Akeno.

Rias Gremory

Race: Pure-Blooded Devil

Job: Merchant Level 12, Maid Level 2, Chef Level 7, Otaku Level 23

Class: Destructo-Ergomancer Level 18

Value: 430,000

... Why was Otaku a job? Seriously Rias, what the fuck?

Koneko Toujou

Race: Reincarnated Devil (Nekoshou)

Job: Maid Level 5, Merchant Level 2

Class: Brawler Level 16, Sage Level 1

Value: 480,000

I was surprised that Koneko was so much more valuable than Rias... Her status as both a Nekoshou and also being a Level 1 Sage must have contributed to that. I hadn't seen the Sage Class before. It was likely related to her Youjutsu abilities.

Yumi Kiba

Race: Reincarnated Devil (Special Human)

Job: Maid Level 8, Masseur Level 11

Class: Swordsman Level 17

Value: 300,000

The most normal status so far... Her Race was listed as a 'Special Human' too, likely related to her Sacred Gear.

So, Kiba was a girl in this world... Good to know.

I slowly reached under the desk and pulled out the card reader, setting it on the table. "That'll run you Seventy-Five Million," I told Rias with a polite smile.

Rias gave a nod as she pulled out a gleaming black credit card and swiped it through the reader.

You have obtained 75,000 Gold!

Dimensional Merchant has levelled up!

20 --- 25!

You have obtained the Job Skill: Intuition (D)!

I raised an eye... Intuition?

Job Skill – Intuition (Merchant) (D) (0.00%)

A Job Skill belonging to the Merchant Class. A very minor form of Enlightenment, specifically about things related to merchants. The user may occasionally be struck with a bout of inspiration or realisation about certain products and their potential, or about something else related to being a merchant.

Ah, I saw now. This skill was to help me find less popular products and find out how they could truly be used. Increasing their value through finding out a better purpose for them.

"Pleasure doing business," I nodded. "And now, what you asked for. Bestow."

Light covered the girls besides Akeno, granting them the system as blue text boxes appeared in front of them.

Rias's eyes lit up. "Thank you so much," she said gratefully, excitement filling her voice.

"Don't thank me yet," I smiled. "I also offer some new, special services since the last time Akeno was here."

Akeno's eyebrow raised, and Rias's eyes sparkled even brighter.

"You see those two doors?" I gestured to the two doors on the sides of the room. "The door labelled 'Dungeon' is a service offered for free. You're able to choose instances of monsters, along with a level of difficulty. Clear the dungeon, you unlock a new monster type, and also you can increase the difficulty of monsters you face of you want more practice against a certain enemy type that's more on your level. You can gather Gold, or even items. I'll purchase those items, and you can use that gold to buy things from the shop... Of course, the Dungeon is also very useful for levelling up."

I saw greed enter Rias's eyes, and I knew why. This would be a shortcut she'd been longing for, the solution to defeating Riser in the rating game so that she could finally be free.

She could have trained before, but now that she had an easy way to get stronger- why would she ever not take the easy way instead?

"Of course, the Dungeon is only one of two new services," I smiled as I gestured to the other door. "The other is the Training Room."

Their eyes turned to the door.

"What's so special about it?" Yumi decided to ask.

I smiled slowly. "Firstly, you can freely control the environment- allowing you to train on different sorts of terrain and train your own adaptability... But where the training room shines is its ability to facilitate Growth."

Rias quickly turned to me. "What do you mean by that?"

My smile twisted into a grin. "While the Training Room isn't as useful for increasing Class Levels as the Dungeon is... It shines in its ability to help you train your skills. Because all skill growth within the training room is doubled."

Silence.

All of the four stared at me in surprise, and I couldn't blame them.

Getting stronger through combat using the dungeon? That was normal.

But a room that doubled the growth of their skills and abilities? That was something special. Especially for more difficult to train skills like the Power of Destruction, or Sacred Gears.

"Are... Are you serious?" Rias asked.

"Completely."

"How much?"

I hummed in thought, "Let's see... 50,000 Yen per person, per hour."

"So cheap?" She asked in shock.

"I need a reasonable price in order for people to want to use the room, even if they don't have as much money as you do," I told her. "It's about equal to 50 Gold- which can be farmed up in the dungeon."

Koneko's eyes lit up at that... Clearly, she was far more interested in getting more money than the rest of them. Likely to feed her sweet tooth.

I just smiled politely. "I'm sure you can see the value in what I'm offering, right?"

"We will definitely come back," Rias nodded quickly. "For both of those services."

"I'm glad~ Now, I'll let you go through the System Tutorial on your own. If you have any questions that the System doesn't provide, feel free to come by and ask me."

"Thank you very much," Rias repeated with a kind smile. "Let's go, girls."

They all nodded and big me farewell, bowing politely before they left.

... Those four asses swaying at the same time looked amazing...

I sighed and face palmed right as the door closed. "I really need to masturbate," I murmured under my breath, not noticing Tria perk up slightly at my words.

I hadn't jerked off since my arrival in this world. Partially because jerking off with my left hand- even after I became ambidextrous- still just felt weird...

Maybe I needed to consider getting a girlfriend.

I shook my head, clearing those thoughts from my mind, and began to think as I tapped on the table slowly.

I was starting to feel cooped up at home, but I wasn't exactly confident stepping out into the world of DxD just yet. Going shopping was one thing, but I'd rather not need to step out there unless I had to. I didn't know anything about my past in that world, so it was better to not risk it unless someone had a vendetta against me.

Food Wars was an option, though I had no cooking skills to speak of... Maybe Unum could give it a go once she finally received her name?

I sighed before I opened up the System store and decided to spend some money in order to upgrade the shop and my home.

The shop's storage area was increased- purely for the sake of the servants being able to restock whenever the shelves were cleared out without me needing to pull things out of my inventory.

I also increased the Number of bedrooms. Thus far, Unum, Duae, and Tria had been sleeping in sleeping bags in the living space, that changed now. I set up my room as the Master Bedroom. Nothing fancy, just a bigger room with more space, and a nicer bed. Then, I set up a hallway that led to dormitory style rooms- three people per room, with 6 rooms in total for now, and three extra bathrooms.

I also increased the size of the living area, kitchen, and dining room. I also added an ensuite bathroom to my room, so I wouldn't have to walk naked through the living space with just a towel after a shower.

And, finally, I increased the size of the front of the shop. More shelf space, more room for multiple people to be in the shop at once, and nice designated areas for the Training Room and Dungeon doors to be featured a bit more prominently rather than just being on either side of the entrance.

I winced as all those things drained a decent chunk of gold, but it was all necessary...

I smiled as the entire place glowed- startling Tria as the store expanded internally with all the new upgrades I had added... Finally, it wasn't so cramped any more. I left the wooden surfaces though; it gave a much more homely feel to the store that I liked.

Achievement Unlocked!

Spend 10,000+ Gold at once!

Reward: Rank-Up Token (C)!

I raised an eye... A Rank-Up Token...?

Rank-Up Token (C)

Rank: Rare

Type: Consumable

A consumable item that, when used, allows the user to instantly rank up any skill below C-Rank to C-Rank. Will disappear upon use.

Hm... Not amazing, but definitely not bad. I began to contemplate on what to use this token on... Thread-Make, perhaps?

No. While Thread-Make was going to be good later on, at its current level and maybe even C-Rank, I would need both hands to truly get any good use out of it. I would just have to power through Thread-Make on my own.

Maybe on Swordsmanship? I had noticed upon reaching Rank D that Swordsmanship had stopped growing- now needing me to learn actual sword styles if I wanted to actually increase the rank.

... No, I decided against it. Better to raise that one authentically. I may gain knowledge from ranking up a skill, but Swordsmanship would be better if I earned it through training my body and learning various sword techniques.

Mana Burst and Shapeshift were ones that would rank up in due time, there was no need to rush them. Charisma perhaps? But I'd noticed I was already gaining experience from that thanks to commanding my servants.

"Can I rank-up Class or Job Skills?" I decided to ask before my thoughts went further.

Class and Job Skills can only be ranked up with a Class or Job Rank Up Token outside of normal means. Same with Perks, it requires a specific token.

Made sense, annoyingly. Otherwise, I'd be able to quickly level up Summon or Evolve Servant, and that would lead me to increasing my team's power much faster.

A shame it couldn't be used on Dragon Heart either...

I sighed and saved it for now, leaning back in my chair as I decided to relax for the day.

I was so mentally drained, I'd think about System related things tomorrow.
