Within the pack house, within the walls of the Alpha's room, Elias stirred. His eyes opened and his body felt weak.
He tried sitting up, but his vision was still a blur. But then, something felt off. He snapped to his feet, but his body swayed to the side—and before he could touch the floor, a pair of strong hands held him tight.
"Be careful, my love," a hoarse voice whispered, pulling him closer to his chest.
The warmth within it felt familiar. Elias slowly opened his eyes as the memories began fitting. The scent was his favorite. He smiled, then leaned in.
"Kael," he whispered.
