Elias stared at Mistress Diana for a while, then his gaze flickered to Levy, and he could even feel her pressure. He swiftly took back his hand, his breathing hard.
"From the little I have gathered, the shadow curse was bound by blood and mate bond. Why should it be my blood that severs it and not the blood of the one who brought it upon me?" Elias demanded.
Mistress Diana was visibly angry.
"You do not question the ways of the gods. Your blood or the curse stays!" she roared.
Elias nodded and sighed, relief washing over him.
"Then my mission here is over," he stated and stood up, but his path was instantly blocked.
"Not without my permission," Mistress Diana roared. But as she stepped forward, a force pushed her backward, and she flew a good distance away from him.
Elias and everyone else were shocked. Blake, who had been motionless on his knees, suddenly stood and grabbed Elias as quickly as he could, and they dashed out running.
