Nolan walked out of his mother's yard with a serious look on his face.
"Seira is being arranged to marry, huh? This is really unexpected news," he muttered.
As far as he could remember, Seira hated arranged marriages. Their father also loved her very much, so it was hard to imagine him letting Seira become the bride of another family.
"Could the conversation between Father and Clarise earlier have been about that?"
When that thought crossed his mind, everything suddenly made sense.
He didn't understand why Clarise was so insistent on marrying Seira off to Aldrian of the Ancient Kingdom of Eron.
"Could it be that she stood to gain something from the marriage?"
Logically, it was very possible. Nolan needed to find out the truth as soon as possible.
As Nolan walked with his mind wandering, a maid suddenly ran toward him with a worried look on her face.
"Your Highness Nolan, thank goodness I found you. Please... please help me!"
