Chapter 167: The "Switching" Strategy of Two-in-One
That Yugi had flipped (Man-Eater Bug) to destroy (Toon Dark Magician) did not surprise Pegasus, as he had already read that piece of information. However, he was still somewhat puzzled.
"Although (Toon Dark Magician) can Special Summon one Monster from me Deck each Turn, in terms of threat, shouldn't (Toon Barrel Dragon), which can directly Destroy a Card, be a higher priority?"

Watching as (Dark Magician Girl)'s Attack was about to strike the closed (Toon World), Pegasus showed no concern for his Monster, saying confidently, "This is the beauty of Toons—a fantastical world with no death, no end!"
"Hah, you say the dead are better off staying quietly in the Graveyard, but in reality, Pegasus, aren't you the one who most wants to Revive the dead?" Chumley scoffed.
Hearing this, Pegasus was about to say something when (Dark Magician Girl)'s Attack landed. (Toon World) automatically flipped open to the "Ocean Story" chapter where (Toon Mermaid) was located. The (Toon Mermaid) was cowering inside a shell playing video games, and only reacted at the last moment when the energy blast hit, forcefully shutting the shell.
"Boom!"
The Attack definitely hit the (Toon Mermaid), but when Chumley and Yugi looked down, the (Toon Mermaid) on Pegasus's Field was still there. Just as Pegasus had said, Toon monsters cannot be Destroyed by battle; this is a common Effect shared by all Toon monsters.
Yugi said coldly, "It may not be Destroyed, but you still have to take the battle Damage."

"Then, in my Main Phase 2, I Activate the Spell Card, (Magic Hat)." Yugi used the last Card in his Hand.
Four giant black top hats appeared on Yugi's Field. (Dark Magician Girl) took the opportunity to duck into one of them, after which the four hats began to move at high speed, swapping places and dazzling the eye. When the shuffling stopped, four identical-looking hats stood on Yugi's Field, making it impossible to tell which one held (Dark Magician Girl).
"This Card is designed for magicians' performances. Since both you and Chumley have put on a show, I suppose it's my turn." Yugi said provocatively, "(Dark Magician Girl) is now hiding in one of these four hats. What do you say, Pegasus? Want to try and Read my Mind and guess which one (Dark Magician Girl) is in?"
"Or is it that, unable to Read my Mind, you've lost even your basic judgment?" Taunting Pegasus wantonly, Yugi puffed out his chest as if welcoming his Mind Reading. "My Turn ends."

With Yugi practically jumping in his face with provocation, why would Pegasus tolerate it? He Activated the Magical Energy of his (Millennium Eye) once more, successfully invading Yugi's Mind.
After first blocking out Yugi's disgust for the mullet roe he had at breakfast and the known Set Card, (Dark Renewal), Pegasus found to his frustration that his attempts to Read the other two Set Cards still ended in failure. However, he did gain something regarding the (Magic Hat) Yugi had already Activated.
'Though it seems random, the hat a Monster hides in is actually determined by the duelist's subconscious. In other words, to me, who possesses the (Millennium Eye), (Magic Hat) is nothing more than a decoration!'
'Your Mind tells me that when you Activated (Magic Hat), you would naturally want your Monster to hide in the rightmost hat, which is to say, the first one on my left.'
Successfully reading the information on (Magic Hat) restored some of Pegasus's confidence. "Yugi-boy, although I don't know why you keep provoking me, if that is what you wish, me will grant it for you."
"I'll make you watch as your precious (Dark Magician Girl) is Destroyed and Sent to the Graveyard!"

"Before you two have your outburst, me will first make Yugi-boy Leave the Field." With that, Pegasus gave the order, "Using the Effect of (Toon Barrel Dragon), Once per turn, I Target one Card to Destroy. Me choice is—"
Under Yugi's tense gaze, Pegasus's finger pointed to the leftmost (Magic Hat) on Yugi's Field.

Perhaps even intangible luck was on Pegasus's side, as (Toon Barrel Dragon)'s Effect Activated perfectly once again. Three BB pellets struck the (Magic Hat) "hiding (Dark Magician Girl)," shattering it to pieces.
However, Pegasus's expression changed drastically. He realized that even though he had successfully Destroyed the (Magic Hat) with (Toon Barrel Dragon)'s Effect, the (Dark Magician Girl) card was still present on Yugi's Duel Arena?!
"This is impossible! I clearly—"
"Clearly saw that '(Dark Magician Girl) was hiding in the leftmost hat,' right, Pegasus?" Under Pegasus's astonished gaze, Yugi looked up. But both the lines of his face and his tone of voice were completely different from a moment ago.
"You are, you are! Another Yugi-boy!?" Pegasus couldn't suppress the shock in his heart. At the same time, he began to form a theory about the previous abnormality with his (Millennium Eye)'s Mind Reading ability. "Co-could it be!"
