The bow and arrow of Toon Mermaid hit Yugi right in the forehead. The soft rubber suction cup on the arrowhead looked completely harmless, but Yugi's Life Points were truly deducted by a full 1400 points.

Each Card reduces the Damage by 500 Points, until the Damage becomes zero!" Hayato's Hand grabbed the top of his Deck, pulling out five Cards in one go. "Yugi, catch!"
After Sending all five Cards to the Graveyard, a translucent energy Shield appeared before Yugi. Embedded around the Shield were the five Cards Hayato had just Sent to the Graveyard. Toon Dark Magician's Attack arrived, and the energy Shield immediately met it. After a brief stalemate, both sides perfectly cancelled each other out.
Seeing that his Life Points hadn't been deducted, Yugi breathed a sigh of relief, turned his head to look at Hayato, and gave a thumbs-up: "Thank you, Hayato."
If that Attack had gone through just now, Yugi's only 2600 Life Points would have instantly dropped to just 100 Points. With that many Life Points, it would be difficult to even continue the Battle against Pegasus, let alone defeat him.
"You're welcome, Yugi." Hayato returned the thumbs-up. "It's your Turn next. Go for it, fight for my share too."

"I choose Toon Dark Magician!" Yugi's Expression was solemn. "Ah, Dark Magician, I'm here to help you break free from that pathetic, manipulated Destiny! Go, Man-Eater Bug, entrusted with the Bond between me and Hayato!"
Toon World provides Toon Monsters with powerful Destruction Resistance, but this Resistance only applies to Battle Destruction. Under the Effect of Man-Eater Bug, Toon Dark Magician was easily pulled out from within Toon World and calmly faced its Destiny of being Destroyed.
In the instant before returning to Yugi's Graveyard, Toon Dark Magician turned back into Dark Magician. On its usually stern face, it showed a peaceful smile for the first time ever.
