Chapter 101: The Return of the Human King
Boom—
Sea God Island suddenly shook violently.
It was as if the sky was collapsing and the earth was splitting. Thunderous roars echoed continuously as seawater surged in all directions, forming countless vortexes. Waves towered over ten meters high.
In the chaos, countless sea soul beasts scattered in panic, diving deep to escape the turmoil. Some were sucked into the maelstroms and torn apart, their blood dyeing the sea red. Others leapt out of the water only to be slammed by monstrous waves—creatures that once frolicked in the surf were now helpless before nature's wrath. Those who failed to escape were crushed to death on the spot.
The sight was apocalyptic, like the fury of heaven descending upon the ocean.
Waves surged toward Sea God Island, only to be barely repelled by the island's seven holy pillars. They erupted with radiant light, weaving together a protective semi-circular barrier against the onslaught.
Even so, the expressions of the seven sacred guardians darkened. Each rose to their feet, gazing solemnly toward the tumultuous deep sea.
Inside the Sea God Temple, a divine light flared.
A graceful figure stepped forward from the void, holding a slender gemstone scepter. Her silver-blue robes shimmered with divine energy. She was the High Priestess of the Sea God Temple—the living incarnation of Poseidon's will.
Her brows furrowed as she gazed into the surging abyss.
"What is awakening in the depths? Could something be emerging from the seafloor?" she murmured, troubled by a rising dread.
Though distant from the disturbance, she could feel the tremors ripple through the earth—like a monster stirring in its ancient slumber.
Was Sea God Island about to face a calamity?
She turned to the massive statue of Poseidon in the temple square.
Suddenly, the sea erupted again. This time, the tidal wave surged over a hundred meters high, shattering the protective divine light conjured by the seven holy pillars.
Before despair could set in, a new divine radiance burst from Poseidon's statue, forming an immense blue barrier that enveloped the entire island.
"The divine blessing of Lord Poseidon!" the seven holy guardians exclaimed, eyes glistening with awe.
They had long revered the legends of Poseidon, yet had never witnessed a true miracle—until now.
Without hesitation, the guardians transformed into streaks of light, rushing toward the square outside the Sea God Temple.
"Lord High Priest!"
"High Priestess!"
They bowed respectfully before her. Poseidon nodded calmly in return.
"High Priestess, what's happening beneath the sea?" Seahorse Douluo asked urgently.
Poseidon shook her head. "I don't know…"
Her gaze lingered on Poseidon's statue, visibly uneasy.
"Are you sensing something else?" Sea Witch Douluo inquired.
Poseidon remained silent. A moment later, her expression paled, and she turned to the seven guardians.
"I'm afraid… Lord Poseidon's power may not be enough to stop this."
Shock rippled through them all.
How could that be?
The Sea God—unable to suppress a threat?
In the next instant, the divine protection from Poseidon's statue shattered like a mirror. Its light refracted across the sea surface, dazzling like shattered sapphire—yet completely ineffective now.
An even more terrifying aura erupted from the seafloor. The entire Sea God Island trembled. Even the sacred temple began to collapse under the pressure.
Meanwhile, in an unknown dimension…
A colossal blue figure shot to its feet, horrified.
"Lord Human King…"
His voice trembled.
"Are you planning to destroy my inheritance?"
No response came. The figure glanced at a distant divine palace and quickly composed himself before vanishing.
Moments later—no more than half a stick of incense—the same vague blue figure reappeared above Sea God Island, overlooking the mortal realm.
What he saw stunned him.
Sea God Island, on the verge of ruin.
Below, the High Priestess and the seven guardians had formed a desperate circle, summoning the entire ocean in prayer.
"Please, Lord Poseidon, save us!"
Even the Sea God's High Priestess knelt, clutching her scepter, voice devout and trembling.
The sea soul masters across the island raised their voices in unison, "Please, Lord Poseidon, save Sea God Island!"
Hovering above, the tall divine being—Poseidon himself—smiled bitterly.
"Lord Human King… must you make such an entrance?"
"My island is about to be reduced to ruins."
He now understood what he had only faintly sensed in the God Realm. This was no mere upheaval—it was a storm stirred by a being far beyond divine rank.
The Human King, absent for hundreds of millions of years… had returned.
Human King? Lord?
There was no reply from the deep, but a collective chill ran through everyone on the island.
They didn't know who the Human King was. But if even Poseidon called him "Lord"…
What kind of being could command such reverence?
Could it be… that buried beneath Sea God Island was not a dormant treasure, but a being far more terrifying than any god?
Just then, the turbulent sea abruptly calmed. The violent skies cleared into tranquil blue.
A gentle yet mighty voice echoed across the island:
"Poseidon, long time no see."
Poseidon gave a wry smile.
"Even after tens of millions of years, Lord Human King remains as elegant as ever."
The voice chuckled.
"Have you learned to flatter me now, Poseidon? How do you know I look the same without seeing me?"
Poseidon had no answer but another bitter smile.
Then, something happened that the people of Sea God Island would never forget.
The sky above the temple tore open.
A black void yawned wide, brimming with crackling energy as if ready to consume all.
And from that rift in space, a single figure stepped forth—
Calm, powerful, supreme.
It was Qin Chuan.
