Chapter 100: The Drawing of a Ghost, the Stirring of a God

Star Dou Great Forest — Core Region.

"Sister Gu Yuena!"

"Sister Gu Yuena, the rabbit has woken up!"

A golden figure darted like a comet across the dense forest. With sleek fur and flowing movements, the one-meter-long beast raced confidently through the dangerous terrain. Any soul beast it passed—even those over 100,000 years old—bowed their heads with reverence.

This was no ordinary creature. It was the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, a rare and auspicious beast known as the cornerstone of the Star Dou Great Forest.

Though it only possessed a few thousand years of cultivation, its status exceeded even that of some top-tier fierce beasts.

"I heard you the first time."

A serene voice echoed from the heart of the Lake of Life. Gu Yuena, her silver hair cascading over her shoulders, rose slowly from the glowing waters. Crystalline droplets fell from her skin, merging back into the sacred lake, creating an ethereal, dreamlike beauty.

"Sister Gu Yuena, you're so beautiful…" the Three-Eyed Golden Lion mumbled in a daze.

Gu Yuena chuckled softly.

She walked gracefully onto the shore, her perfect form completely unadorned. Sunlight filtered through the forest canopy, casting divine rays across her glistening skin. Every curve and motion exuded an elegance that could steal the breath of any living being.

Her silver hair, long enough to touch her ankles, shimmered with liquid light as droplets slid along its strands, sparkling like stars before returning to the lake.

"When you grow up, you'll be just as beautiful," Gu Yuena said with a gentle smile, scooping the little lion into her arms.

The lion purred like a kitten, curling up against her chest.

"Then I'll definitely transform into your likeness!" it giggled.

Gu Yuena chuckled again. "Very well, then. When you leave this forest, you can tell the world I'm your sister."

"It's a deal!"

With a gleeful hop, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion transformed into its full form again, prancing proudly. "Come on, Sister Gu Yuena! Let's go see the rabbit!"

"Alright."

As Gu Yuena stepped forward, a burst of radiant light wrapped around her form, and in an instant, a flowing silver-white robe materialized on her body.

Just as she was about to pass through the dimensional rift, she suddenly froze. Her gaze turned toward a distant direction—toward the location of the Slaughter City.

Her brows furrowed faintly.

An inexplicable unease crept into her heart. Though the feeling passed quickly, like a whisper on the wind, it left a mark.

She shook her head and continued forward.

In the blink of an eye, Gu Yuena reappeared elsewhere in the beast domain.

"Master, you've arrived," said a soft voice.

Bi Ji, dressed in green, rose to greet her with gentle respect.

Gu Yuena nodded and turned to the young girl standing nearby. She wore a red dress and had a long scorpion braid trailing down her back. Her gaze, usually lively and mischievous, was now filled with nervous anticipation.

It was Xiao Wu—rescued from the clutches of the Heaven Dou Empire.

"Xiao Wu greets the Master," she said quickly, bowing respectfully.

Gu Yuena's silver eyes studied her. "A 100,000-year-old Soft Bone Rabbit dares to transform so early?"

There was a trace of mockery in her voice.

"The Soft Bone Rabbit race has always been weak… yet you have courage, I'll give you that."

Xiao Wu trembled, her face pale. The truth stung.

Her race was prey to stronger beasts—until her mother's unexpected rise. But her mother was gone now. And Xiao Wu, in choosing transformation, had left her people vulnerable once again.

"I only want to avenge my mother," she whispered.

"Yet I hear you've grown quite close to a human boy," Gu Yuena sneered.

But at that, Xiao Wu's eyes suddenly flared with defiance.

"Master, do you know anything about Third Brother?"

During her imprisonment, Xiao Wu had followed Qian Renxue closely. She knew that Tang San's body had vanished without a trace. She felt, deep in her heart, that he might still be alive.

"No," Gu Yuena replied bluntly.

"I only looked into it out of curiosity. I didn't expect you to be this laughable."

"Laughable?"

Of course it was laughable. A soul beast, cultivated for 100,000 years, falling in love with a human?

Twenty to thirty thousand years of intelligence, and this is what it produced?

Love-struck foolishness?

Xiao Wu's face flushed with shame.

Wasn't their love real? Why did it seem so absurd in front of Gu Yuena?

"Now then," Gu Yuena said, voice cold again. "Tell me. Who captured you?"

This was the real reason Gu Yuena had come. The Three-Eyed Golden Lion had extracted fragments of Xiao Wu's fate—just enough to alarm her.

"Master, his name is Qin Chuan," Xiao Wu said nervously. "He's a human Titled Douluo, but his actual strength surpasses many Super Douluo."

She recounted the fierce battle that had taken place in Spirit Hall.

"He defeated stronger opponents?" Gu Yuena asked.

That alone wasn't enough to impress her. Plenty of humans had reached that level.

But Xiao Wu continued, "I heard… with only a hundred Heaven Dou ironclads, Qin Chuan pierced through the entire Star Luo Empire."

Gu Yuena's pupils contracted.

That wasn't something a mere Titled Douluo could accomplish.

At minimum, he possessed power on the level of a Divine Priest.

"Describe him to me."

Though the Three-Eyed Golden Lion could extract Qin Chuan's appearance from Xiao Wu's fate, it couldn't translate that image into words.

"Do you have a pen and paper? I can draw him," Xiao Wu offered.

Prepared as always, Bi Ji brought out writing tools.

"Begin," Gu Yuena said calmly.

Xiao Wu inhaled deeply, closed her eyes, and allowed the image to solidify in her mind. Then, her brush moved swiftly.

Soon, Qin Chuan's face appeared clearly on the page.

At the same time —

Sea God Island.

BOOM—

A thunderous quake rocked the island. The sea surged.

The waves of fate, it seemed, had begun to ripple far beyond the forest…
