Odin's heart trembled. Finally, he let out a cold snort.
Vostagg, Hogan, and Sif once again rushed forward with determination, their eyes burning with defiance. Fandral, face flushed, gritted his teeth and lifted his weapon with resolve. The other warriors of Asgard watched with rising excitement.
Before Odin could issue a command, several figures rushed forward of their own accord.
Among them was the executioner Skolcini—the very same who once surrendered to Hela—and the vigilant gatekeeper Heimdall.
Honor and dignity were everything in Asgard. These warriors didn't mean to interfere in Sif's battle, but instead, they aimed to rescue their comrade Fandral.
They never made it.
Two shimmering portals suddenly appeared before Skolcini and Heimdall. It was Clarice's ability in full display.
In the next instant, Polaris and Gwen emerged from the portals.
Gwen faced Heimdall.
Polaris and another fighter stepped forward to meet Skolcini and the gathered Asgardian warriors.
"I've always wondered... Do Asgardians really have twenty to thirty tons of strength?" Gwen said playfully from beneath her mask. With a flurry of thwips, her webs launched toward Heimdall.
He responded with his golden longsword, slashing through them effortlessly.
Gwen's playful demeanor vanished. Her senses heightened. Guided by Spider Telepathy and unmatched agility, she engaged Heimdall in an intense dance of speed and precision.
Polaris, however, showed no such restraint.
"I'm done waiting."
Lorna Dane had endured countless trials since joining Xavier's new school, often becoming the target of Magneto's harsh yet constructive guidance. Her control over magnetic fields had evolved to terrifying precision.
Today, she resembled her father in more ways than one.
She flicked her fingers with a sneer. The moment she did, dozens of armored Asgardians were hurled backward like ragdolls. Only Skolcini remained standing.
"You seem to be the strongest one here. Let's play."
Metal objects—swords, axes, shields—rose around her and converged on Skolcini like a deadly swarm.
He was dumbfounded.
Dodging and parrying frantically, he barely kept up with the storm of weapons.
"She can control metal?!" one of the Asgardian warriors gasped.
They had never feared death or battle.
But this? This was hopeless. How could one fight an enemy who controlled every piece of armor and weapon on the battlefield?
Charging forward now would be suicide.
"The majesty of Asgard is inviolable! Remove your armor! Fight unarmed with honor!"
Despite their fear, these elite warriors remained true to their code. One by one, they began removing their armor and tossing away weapons, ready to aid their brethren with bare fists.
A gentle sigh echoed from the skies. An airship hovered above Bifrost.
Aboard it stood not another warrior, but a woman wrapped in shimmering veils. Her presence silenced the warriors.
It was Frigg—Queen of Asgard, Odin's wife and Thor's mother.
"El, go and help."
The woman's voice was soft, yet commanding.
From behind Frigg, another woman stepped forward and leapt down. She landed with elegance and ease.
She was breathtaking, cloaked in a flowing light-blue dress, her figure graceful and regal.
"El," Joseph murmured.
He glanced at Wanda beside him, his voice thoughtful. "Interested in learning from her?"
Wanda—still a mere sixteen, but far from the ordinary girl she once was—nodded immediately. "Yes, Master."
Her life had changed ever since Joseph brought her into the magical world. She had long revered him as her true mentor.
"I will definitely win," she said confidently.
Joseph smiled. "Definitely."
Wanda had undergone rigorous training and was now a magician of the third ring. That alone was commendable.
But with the Mind Gem awakening her innate powers, she had also unlocked Origin Magic.
That changed everything.
Wanda cast a levitation spell and drifted like a feather to face El.
El, one of Frigg's twelve elite handmaidens, was not a warrior but a healer—yet she wielded magical power beyond most.
She frowned at Wanda's youthful appearance. "You're so young... Why fight? Asgard has no quarrel with Earth."
"My teacher said dignity depends on strength."
Red light shimmered in Wanda's palms.
"An unrecognized god has no right to look down on us."
El blinked, startled.
Her mind control spells had no effect on the girl?
Before she could react further, the red light surged forward.
El summoned her divine energy. A shield formed before her just in time to absorb the blast.
But it didn't end there.
The red energy didn't fade. It expanded into a dome of glowing magic, enclosing both Wanda and El in its bounds.
Inside it, El felt her divine energy wane. Wanda's power, however, multiplied.
"A magic field?!"
She gasped in disbelief. Wanda, so young, had already mastered such a high-level technique?
"Now, no one can interrupt us."
Wanda's smile glowed under the red light. It was gentle—and terrifying.
El's heart raced. She'd seen powerful foes in Asgard. But this... this girl was something else entirely.
Outside the glowing dome, Odin's eyes widened in shock.
"Another force equal to the Phoenix Force?!"
To his eyes, Wanda's magic was faint but twisted with primal power, one that rivaled the strength within Wonder Woman and Thor.
His face contorted.
"ENOUGH!!!"
Odin's roar shook the heavens.
A shockwave burst forth from him, knocking back even Tony, Diana, Storm, Phoenix, and others.
Joseph felt the wind strike but kept his footing. His eyes sparkled.
Odin had stopped the fight.
But he hadn't attacked personally.
That was the confirmation Joseph had been waiting for.
He turned calmly to a black-robed man standing beside him.
The man stepped forward, bowed, and announced loudly:
"God King Odin, I am Modu. On behalf of Kamar-Taj's Sorcerer Supreme, I greet you."
Odin's spear shook in his hand.
"The Ancient One?!"
His gaze snapped toward Modu.
No matter how hard he tried to stay composed, his face twitched with rage.
In his mind, thunder roared.
"We've lived in peace for thousands of years... and now you stab me in the back?! Ancient One!!"
