Chapter 2 - Disgrace?

Kazuki sat in his room in a meditative posture, trying not to think about anything—just focus on his chakra. However, his concentration kept slipping. Sometimes he drifted into thoughts about the future, sometimes about his previous life, and sometimes he was simply distracted by his surroundings.

After focusing for nearly two hours, he finally sensed it—his chakra. It felt like a vast river pulsing in his abdomen, warm and steady, flowing gently through his body like a stream of warm water. But he couldn't tell exactly where it was going—only that it was there.

After another hour of meditation, Kazuki opened his eyes and thought, 'I have chakra. I can sense it. I don't know how much there is, but it's definitely there. Guess the first step toward chakra control will be the Leaf Concentration Exercise.'

Just then, his stomach growled. "Guess that's it for today. Let's see if there's something to eat around here," he muttered.

Kazuki checked the shelves and found a few pieces of bread—barely enough for dinner. He toasted them, then opened the fridge and found some milk. With that, he sat down to eat.

While chewing, he thought, 'Did this kid really just have bread and milk for dinner? No wonder his physical condition's so poor... I'll have to start payingattentionto diet and exercise starting tomorrow.'

After eating, Kazuki brushed his teeth, jumped into bed, and fell asleep like someone without a care in the world.

He woke up at 6 AM and immediately began the Leaf Concentration Exercise.

Plucking a leaf from a nearby tree, he sat down again in a meditative posture, placed the leaf on his forehead, and began focusing his chakra onto it. But the leaf fell almost instantly.

Kazuki tried a few more times, but the leaf kept falling. Frustrated, he stood up and began stretching instead.

After a quick warm-up, he stepped out of his apartment and headed toward the playground inside the Uchiha compound. Some children were playing with their parents, while slightly older kids were exercising on their own.

As Kazuki approached the playground, he noticed the stares—adults and children alike throwing him looks. 'Wait… Am I getting the Naruto treatment? I mean, I don't really care, but this poor kid... he must've been really lonely. No friends, no family… kicked out of the orphanage for some absurd excuse about bad behavior. And then he was forced to live alone at the age of 4'

As he stepped into the training ground, a child asked his father, "Dad, who's that kid? Why is everyone staring at him?"

His father replied coldly, "Don't ever talk to that boy. He's a disgrace to the Uchiha clan."

Kazuki sighed internally. 'Yeah, yeah… The Uchiha and their damn pride.'

Without paying any more attention, he started running laps around the playground's boundary—roughly 200 meters per round.

To his surprise, even after ten rounds, he wasn't very tired. 'Is it because I'm half Uzumaki? Do I really have that much chakra? Or is everyone in this world just built like this?'

After 15 laps, he began feeling fatigued and stopped. Many of the people who had been watching him earlier continued to glare, though a few didn't seem to care either way.

Kazuki moved on to basic exercises:

15 push-ups

30 squats

2 sets of 20 jumping jacks

When he tried pull-ups on a nearby monkey bar, he barely managed four. After that, he just hung from the bar for 10–15 seconds, repeating it three times to build grip strength.

On the fourth hang, a kid 2–3 years older than him suddenly shoved him from behind. Kazuki's grip gave way, but instead of falling flat, he planted his hands on the ground, absorbing most of the impact with a rough slide.

He quickly stood up and turned to see three older boys smirking at him.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Kazuki snapped, his voice louder and sharper than he intended.

The tallest boy chuckled, "Aww, is the little baby mad? Gonna cry to your mommy?"

Another added with a sneer, "Oops—forgot you don't have one."

They all burst into laughter.

Nearby adults and children glared at Kazuki as if daring him to retaliate. Imaginary anger marks flared in his mind as he clenched his fists. 'What kind of bullying is this? These words are so harsh, even I'm pissed.'

The bullies were expecting him to cry like usual. But to their surprise, Kazuki simply waved a hand dismissively and turned toward the playground exit.

'Hah… I really need to control my temper. I was about to punch that guy, but i am sure—I wouldn't stand a chance. Not against all three of them… maybe not even in a one-on-one. I should avoid going out much not until I join the Academy. Otherwise, it's just going to be just like this.'

Back home, Kazuki took a bath and headed to the market. He bought:

A tray of eggs for 50 Ryo

Milk for 30 Ryo

A pack of bread for 20 Ryo

A jar of peanut butter for 40 Ryo

Six cups of instant ramen for 60 Ryo

He frowned. 'I only have 50 Ryo left. How the hell am I supposed to survive with this? I'll just have to endure it until I join the Academy.'

Kazuki sighed and returned home. Around 10 AM, he ate an omelet with some milk—not really breakfast, but the first meal of the day.

For the next three weeks, Kazuki followed a routine of meditation and physical training. His concentration gradually improved—he still needed about half an hour to fully calm his mind during meditation, but that was much better than before. Physically, he'd gotten stronger too—not dramatically, but enough to notice.

'Alright… I've trained and meditated for a while now. Time to reattempt the Leaf Concentration Exercise.'
