Takes place between #05 Cryptid and #08 Lost.
Chelsea loved learning about Frostbite and the Far Frozen. After he was done talking, Frostbite asked, "Do you have any questions about being a human ghost hybrid?"
"Yeah!" Chelsea said. Her mind reeled with all the questions she had, so she couldn't say any of them. She sat there flapping her mouth like a fish.
Danny laughed, "Are you going to ask any of them?"
"Yeah…" Chelsea said defensively. "I just have so many! I want to know more about my core. When will I get core powers?"
"Core powers?" Frostbite asked.
"You know, like Danny has ice powers because of his core type," Chelsea explained. "What's mine?"
"Oh, I see," Frostbite said. "While it's hard to say what your type will be, I can say that it'll take about a year for those powers to develop."
"A year?" Chelsea lamented. "Aw, man! Next question. Other than cores, what's different about human biology from ghost biology?"
"Well, you probably already know that ectoplasm flows through your veins instead of blood while in ghost form," Frostbite said. He pulled down a chart showing an outline of Danny's body next to an outline of a yeti's body. Inside the outlines were veins, arteries, and organs. "As you can see, everything else is about the same. The only difference is the core, as you mentioned. Ghosts have a core while humans have a heart. Because you're half of both, you have both a heart and a core."
"Wow!" Chelsea said. "How does that work? I mean, is there room in there for a core to fit?" She touched her chest to illustrate.
"The core is a ghost organ, so it's intangible," Frostbite explained.
"So cool!" Chelsea said.
Danny looked down and touched his chest. "I didn't know that."
"You never asked, Great One," Frostbite said. He frowned and asked, "Does this knowledge bother you?"
Danny looked up. "No, it's just surprising is all."
"Hey," Chelsea said, "so I have a theory. Danny's ghost sense is a wisp that comes out of his mouth. I think my ghost sense only happens when I touch another ghost, and I feel static. Do you think my core is electric?"
Frostbite appeared contemplative. "Hmm… could be."
They talked for a while longer, then said their goodbyes.
