Eyun-jung was sitting on her private jet, staring out the window impatiently—eyes filled with worry as they looked down at the ocean below.
"Can't this thing go any faster Jin-ho?"
Nae Jin-ho looked up from his phone—before shaking his head. A smile spreading across his face underneath his mask.
"Well. No. Legally we can't go any faster. Why? Are you worried about your brother?"
Eyun-jung gave him a small glare—before reluctantly nodding just a bit. She was definitely worried a bit too much.
"He just awakened a system—he's a bit too weak to keep up with other students."
Nae Jin-ho leaned back in his chair—setting his phone onto the armrest. His smile become larger, eyes now crinkled at the edges.
"Well. He's weak I guess. But he's got a curse-"
Eyun-jung stood up, grabbing Jin-ho by the collars as her glare got a lot more angry, brows crushing together as her eyes tightened into slits.
"Curse? You're only telling me this now? I swear to god.. I'll throw you out of this plane if you don't tell me everything you know about this stupid curse."
Nae Jin-ho was unaffected, he lightly slapped Eyun-jung's wrist—definitely too entertained to be standing in front of one of the most feared hunters ever.
"Fine~ I'll give you a rundown, while we don't know about its exact effects—its from a blood elf. So it'll probably have something to do with 'exchange'. Apart from that... Its incurable. Lady Byeon Kyung-mi tried to heal it, but she failed. I think it was about the curse being filled with too much hatred."
Eyun-jung was silent—her mind already skimming through her memories, trying to find someone that might be able to cure it but, Byeon Kyung-mi was recognized as the only one who could 'cure' curses permanently.
"If its incurable, that means it'll probably produce too much Chaotic Mana right? I assume you have already gotten a Sealing Artifact for my brother?"
Nae Jin-ho didn't reply verbally, instead giving a brief dip of the head—he was also lost in thought.
Eyun-jung took in a calming breath of air through her nose. Sitting back down as she went back to gazing out of the window—resting her chin on her fist.
"Hey, Eyun-jung—you've been gone for a whole year, so let me tell you something about your little brother."
Her gaze flickered towards Nae Jin-ho—interest piqued as she watched Nae Jin-ho lean in closer towards her, steepling his fingers together.
"Your brother—is talented. Very much so, but his system.. Its weird, glitchy, he doesn't tell anyone about it. A Hunter's best weapon is his mind and system, so we can't directly ask about it—so please. Do try to analyze it."
Eyun-jung sighed and rest her head back onto the seat—closing the window as she gave a thumbs up to Nae Jin-ho who stood up, going towards the back.
'Ji Won.. Just what are you doing?'
And what was Ji Won actually doing? Fighting for his life.
He was bombarded by invisible punches from Han Dae-sik—unable to even process their sheer speed as he fell to the ground. Round bruises and torn up skin all across his body.
'What the hell... I can't even attack or defend.. Just what is he doing? My right forearm is completely shattered..'
Han Dae-sik was standing over him, another cigarette in his hand—seemingly bored already.
"You're wondering how I'm doing this right kid?"
Ji Won looked up at him with tired yet still hungry eyes—he hadn't given up even after being mauled to a pulp, since after all. He still had a trump card he could use.
Han Dae-sik raised his foot straight into the air, but he was struck in the back by a large golden arrow—his tracksuit gently freezing over before he turned around to face none other than Byeon Min-ki.
"Oh? An archer?"
Byeon Min-ki stood silently—bloody nose and shaking leg which looked to be broken yet he was standing on it completely fine. And this impressed Han Dae-sik just a bit.
"Go on then. Shoot. I dare you-"
He was interrupted—hearing a few bullets go off but. They were instantly in the palm of his hands even though they were just fired.
"Interesting!"
His head twisted to see Ryong Il perched on a tree, holding a holographic gun, eyes peering through the scope. Han Dae-sik was now sporting a manic—toothy grin on his face,
"A brat using an SR-25? Let me guess, you searched that up on your phone?"
His words were filled with sadistic amusement and entertainment—he dashed towards Ryong Il who leaped off the tree branch, throwing a few twigs towards the hunter.
'Huh?'
Han Dae-sik's expression momentarily changed—he didn't expect twigs to be thrown at him but when one tore through his tracksuit, he immediately caught them before they could do any damage.
'I see.. His class, its probably Perfect Modern Assassin.. A pretty rare one, I think it allows the user to have mastery over all modern weapons alongside the boosts one would get from a normal Assassin class... Potential, potential..'
Ji Won slowly stood up, tearing off his shirt—revealing the even bigger gashes and injuries underneath. Just when he was about to speak, blood filled his mouth, pooling up inside.
'Just what I needed.'
Ji Won was definitely becoming a bit more crazy—his pupils were dilated and the curse markings on his arm were now glowing a bright red that illuminated the dim surroundings.
'This brat.. Is definitely not normal.'
Han Dae-sik's eyes widened underneath the sunglasses as suddenly—Ji Won vomited blood onto him. He was a bit too surprised to use his skill to dodge.
Just then, Sae Jaehyun jumped up, the blood on Han Dae-sik's body turned elastic like rope—coming into Sae Jaehyun's hands as he spun around the older hunter before slamming him into the ground.
"Take this ya bastard!"
There was a large cloud of dust that had arisen from the impact site, but due to the rain it quickly settled—revealing that Han Dae-sik wasn't even there anymore.
Soo-jin let out a shriek as she tackled Sae Jaehyun to the ground—making them both avoid a chop from Han Dae-sik. Who suddenly changed clothes, now sporting a black suit.
"You kids were boring me a bit too much. So I decided to give myself a bit of a handicap. I've got a date after this and I'm too lazy..."
Ji Won put him in a full nelson—but Han Dae-sik appeared behind him. Just like always—he was just untouchable. But Pan Sooyun, who was standing at the sidelines all this time suddenly jumped in.
Two of the large trees besides the pathway wrapped themselves around Han Dae-sik, their grip crushing and vice-like—but once more, the hunter tore through them with ease.
"Boring."
He stood in front of Pan Sooyun, looking down at her—brows furrowed in intrigue as he saw the girl stand before him fearlessly.
"I've finally figured you out sir."
Pan Sooyun's hand was trembling—her collarbone was jutting out from underneath her skin, definitely broken to the point it might pierce her skin. Han Dae-sik definitely didn't care about genders when it came to beatings.
"I remember Papa talking about you.. You've got the Time Walker class right? You can stop time for up to one second bursts right? That's why we can't touch you.."
Han Dae-sik's raised a brow in both amusement and confusion. Not at how she knew of his class but..
"So? What difference does that make?"
Before he could use his skill, Ji Won touched his back—not even a punch or an attack just a touch. But this touch drained Han Dae-sik so much that he was suddenly weaker.
'What?!'
He felt his stats decrease more and more—his eyes locking with Ji Won who was now suddenly healed.
Eyes gleaming green, a smirk on his face as the Ji Won cracked his knuckles and neck.
"Surprised? Now, we both can't use our skills and our stats are equal. How is that? Fun right?"
Han Dae-sik was silent. His head bowed towards the ground but then—he looked back up, his grin becoming even more sadistic and even a bit.. Creepy, it was far too toothy and animalistic to belong to a human.
"Very fun! Very, very fun! I know of this skill, no one can interfere in our brawl or else this skill's effect will be broken right?! GOOD! Now come here Ji Won! I want to see what the Hyuk family has created!"
