The words sent a fresh spark of heat down Silke's spine.
His arms tightened instinctively. And after a second of hesitating, just for one second, he exhaled sharply and hooked his legs around Seram's waist.
Immediately, Seram's hands shifted, palms moving to cradle under his thighs, adjusting to the change like it was second nature. He didn't wobble, didn't even blink, he just smiled, calm and utterly in control.
"You sure you wanna do that?" he teased. "I might not let you go."
Silke buried his face in Seram's shoulder. "Don't say things like that."
"Like what?"
"Like you mean them."
"I do mean them."
Silke let out a strangled noise and clung harder.
Seram chuckled and started walking them toward the kitchen, carrying him like he weighed nothing.
Every few steps, he adjusted his grip slightly, strong fingers pressing into the backs of Silke's thighs as if to remind him just how secure he was.
