He took a moment to recalibrate. He drew a single deep breath, narrowed his eyes, and centered himself.

Seram stretched out one hand. The space in front of him bent. It was not visible to the eye, but he could feel it a subtle warp. The distance compressed.
The space between his palm and the alleyway ahead folded inward like invisible fabric drawn tight.
The last spawn, which was crawling onto a fire escape, did not know it had already entered his range.
Seram clenched his fist.
The metal stairwell crushed inward, folding over the creature like a vice. It let out a garbled screech before its voice was silenced completely.
"Three spawns eliminated.." the system announced. Its voice was neutral, cold, and mechanical.
[Main threat approaching.]
Seram turned. The air shifted. It grew sharp and thin. Cold wind coiled around his feet, kicking up grit.
