As the sky reddened, Alessio woke up from his nap, stretching languidly. Silvan was next to him, the other Prince lifting his head from the book he had been reading.
"You said you were only going to take a short nap," Silvan accused as soon as his eyes were open. He had been in the other's room the entire day, and the plan was to resume painting after lunch.
Alessio glanced at the setting sun and grimaced, "I didn't quite plan to sleep that long. Why didn't you rouse me?" He turned on Silvan.
Silvan pretended not to hear his question, "We can resume painting tomorrow. I'll go get ready for dinner."
Alessio looked Silvan over, sometime during his nap, the other must have returned to his room, because he was properly dressed now, blond hair slicked back. He thought that Silvan looked just fine, but he didn't say it out loud - he also needed to get ready.
