Cassie looked at Cassandra then at the bag,she was about to stand up but Adrian did,so she only said"thank you big sister" Adrian collected the 2 bags and dropped it on the empty side of the table
Cassandra could only laugh at and pat Cassie shoulder "you've got a keeper"
Cassie smiled "you guys should eat"
Sam and Michelle were already sitting so Cassandra was about to go and sit with them when she was Nian Nian who was hiding her face "sister Nian Nian what are you doing here?" Being caught,she could only look up and smile awkwardly "big sis,what a coincidence"
Cassandra looked at everyone on the dinning before sighing "Cassie did you know Nian Nian is running away from Marco"
"Yes,he's been treating her badly and so she has left him but he doesn't want to let her go...big sis, just eat,maybe you and Nian Nian can talk about this some other time"
Cassandra thought for a while, looking at Nian Nian who was looking away before going to sit down
Everyone started eating again "Aunt you look prettier than before" Cassie looked up at Sam "little kid,your mouth is becoming sweet now"
"But Aunt I mean it,if I wasn't a kid and you weren't my aunt,I'd pursue you"
Adrian who had been expressionless had a twitch of emotion on his face
"Won't Aunt accept to marry me if I was big and you were someone else" Sam asked brightly and Cassie just laughed "sure, maybe I would have expected"
Everyone eyes instinctively fell on Adrian except Cassie and Sam who were horrible at reading rooms, Adrian had a forced smile on his face and the iron spoon in his hand was already squash and the life squeezed out
"Don't worry aunt maybe in the next life"
"I would still senior you unless you died early"
"Age is just a number"
"Who told you that"
"I watched it and heard a few people talking about it"
"Little kid,don't get a sugar mummy"
"What's that?"
"Forget it"
This two were just talking, everyone else could feel the pressure of Adrian death glare, Cassandra wanted to wrap a tape around her son mouth, Cassie who saw that the shrimp on her plate still had it's leg and head looked up at Adrian,it was because Cassie hated eating shrimp if it's leg and head was still attached and Adrian mostly removed it,she looks up at Adrian but the spoon which now looked like a piece of smashed metal"Adrian?"
"Yes" Adrian face which looked like he could murder someone at anything calmed down as he looked at Cassie,the air around calmed down and no one felt suffocated "the shrimp" Cassie voice was calm and devoid of any earlier energy she had when talking to Sam,Adrian felt disappointed angry and jealous,he cut of the shrimp head and leg before placing on Cassie plate
Cassie started eating while Adrian was cutting off the head and leg while looking at Sam who was busy stuffy his mouth,the rest wanted to shout and tell him -that's just a kid- but they were too scared,Cassandra and Michelle had already written a mental note to only come with Sam when Adrian isn't around but they both still rememberef the family dinner coming soon
After dinner, everyone sat in the living room and was resting,chatting with each other and letting Sam watch some cartoon meanwhile Adrian got up with Cassie, Adrian looked at Stacy"let's go talk in the study" everyone heard this but didn't bother asking or looking at them,not planning on prying into what doesn't concern them
