Stacy got up and followed them to the study,she wanted to complain of Cassie following him but she also didn't mind
Once in the study, Cassie sat on the small couch while Adrian and Stacy sat on the chair,where the desk is... separating the both of them
Cassie leans back on the small chair, letting them talk,Stacy looks at Cassie then at Adrian "uhm,like I said before,I have something important to talk to you about...you do know about my past involving my sister and mother"
Adrian nodded
"Well,the thing is,my mom sister,I saw her and we've been talking"
Cassie eye's were closed but now she was having interest in the conversation,she was also aware of Stacy past because in the last world,Stacy family secrets were sent to her when she wanted to destroy Stacy for coming to live in her villa...she stayed still as she listened to them
"Your mom has a sister?"
"Yes and some how this woman seems to know about how my mom died and all and turns out,I'm not my dad biological daughter"
Adrian was quiet, Cassie didn't say anything,she had remembered that in her world she didn't tell Adrian she was going to destroy Stacy and her father company through their secrets and so he wasn't aware,what made her change her mind was that a few days later, Stacy was chasing after some guy in abroad
"So,your mom?"Adrian couldn't help asking
"She's my really mom, I've tried asking Mary who my father is but she says she doesn't know"
"Who's Mary"
"My mom's sister... Adrian,the thing is,I feel something's off,not that I'm desperate to be part of Lane company or being my father daughter but I feel something's off and I didn't know who else to turn to" Stacy looks down,her heart was finally settling after telling Adrian what was weighing on her but it hasn't fully settled
"Did you investigate Mary"
"I tried but most of the information weren't helpful"
Adrian nods thoughtfully"I'll help,you have every right to feel that something's off,I'll take care of everything"
"Thank you so much"
"It's nothing"
Cassie opens her eyes and looks at the two,she runs her tummy gently as she sees Stacy standing up "I'll head home now,thank you for the food" Stacy turns to Cassie "thank you" Cassie nods and hums in acknowledgement,also standing up "I'll see you off" Stacy wanted to decline but just smiles "okay"
Adrian followed them, coincidentally or not,the rest downstairs were already ready to leave, Adrian and Cassie saw them off
Once everyone had left Cassie let's out a sigh,it seems she was exhausted,she walks back into the house with Adrian trailing behind her,she didn't mind,she saw Jen carrying to two bag over to them "uhm miss, should I drop them in the kitchen" Cassie takes the two bag and looks into both of them,she pour the snacks and sweets,sort them and then gives one bag to the maid "take this one for yourself" the maid was confused but accepted it gratefully
Cassie was picky with snacks so she chose a few that caught her eyes,she took less sweet for herself and more chocolate, Adrian just stood watching like a body guard, Cassie still didn't mind
She started walking upstairs with the bag but Adrian took the bag from her "I'll carry it for you"
Cassie nods at his word and continues walking after leaving the bag with him,he followed behind her until she reached her room,she turns to collect the bag but Adrian doesn't hand it over "I'll follow you inside" Cassie raised her brow at him "something wrong?"
