Chapter 12 - Detroit Springs: Meeting of Tycoons & Dreamers

As the '86 Cadillac Brougham limosine pulled up at the Detroit Springs Business Resort, Kerosene and Nobel were ushered out by the chaffeur. Kubota had managed to clean up, as he was decked out in an all black security tuxedo as he escort. Kerosene was in a black suit with an accented auburn tie, holding the arm of Nobel, who was wearing a white suit, with radium green tie. As they walked in, the CEOs, accompanied by their sons greeted them.

"Glad you both could make it, Mr. & Mr. Fusion." Said Eos the First. The former title, "Mr. & Mr. Fusion," made Kerosene blush. As for Nobel, he shook hands with each of the CEOs, then allowed them to escort Kerosene and himself through the facility. This wasn't just a meeting, they were sizing him up, seeing just how well he'd adapt to their intimidation. However, once the two sons and Kerosene had been ushered to their rooms, Nobel and the three CEOs sat down to meet in the business conference room. As the metting began, Nobel poured himself a glass of water, while Palmer Vanderbuilt, CEO of Transcontiental INC., spoke.

"Firstly, Mr. Fusion, we are glad you came to the came. However, in the spirit of not minching words, Mr. Eos and Mr. Stuart would like to speak." Nobel took a sip of his water, then motioned the two CEOs to speak. "Mr. Fusion," started Clessie Stuart, "thank you for coming. I'll be brief." Clessie took a deep breath, then locked eyes with Nobel. "Marry my son, and become my allied partner." Nobel was stunned, the other two CEOs burst out, but not in an uproar, but out of insult as Eos the First wanted the same thing, while Palmer Vanderbuilt offered his own hand as he was twenty-one years old with no kids. The trio bickered while Nobel shook his head. Nobel then cleared his throat loudly. "You three came here with this idea in mind?" The trio nodded, making Nobel sigh as he thought to himself, "This is going to be one long meeting."

Hours went by and the meeting finally concluded with Nobel stating he'd consider their offers, before heading to meet up with Kerosene at the resort's . Once they'd met up, Nobel informed Kerosene of their offers, to which Kerosene replied by bursting out laughing. "Seriously?" Sighed Nobel. Kerosene wiped a tear from his eye before looking at Nobel. "It's not a bad plan. Contractual marriages to create an alliance that can't be bought. While I'm a bit jealous... This is big for you." Nobel downed his drink, "I have a plan, but I wanted to run it by you first..."

The next morning, the CEOs met again and Nobel commanded the meeting. "Firstly, after giving your proposals some thought, I have a few conditions. Firstly, these contractual marriages will not influence my position with my current partner, who I will marry first and foremost." The trio nodded, then agreed to the first term. "Secondly, none of these marriages will result in Fusion Dynamics being transferred over to anyone other than myself and/or Kerosene. This is an alliance, yes, but my company will not be undermined. Thirdly, as this is an alliance, I want proposed trade agreements between us four. All of our products are taxed by the others, so let's make it beneficial for all of us to do busines gentleman. We can haggle the details later, but these are my conditions."

The trio of CEOs made several calls, checked several documents, then had their secretaries bring them paperwork to sign. After it was signed, a few reporters got photography of the four CEOs and their trade deals. After this, the CEOs informed their sons of their decisions, then left the resort. Meanwhile, Nobel, Kerosene, Eos, Palmer, and Perkin, took the '86 Cadillac Brougham limosine back to the airfield, all eager to get home.
