Chapter 415 - Deal

Shielding from prying eyes, one of the great powers of the Origin Heart.

In Azeroth, at Galen's level, it's impossible not to be noticed by the Old Gods. Once noticed, their incessant whispers would echo in his ears twenty-four hours a day.

Galen wouldn't dare test whether his will was stronger than that of Deathwing Neltharion, or whether he was more rational than Loken, the King of Wisdom!

Knowing when to back down is Galen's life philosophy.

So far, he hasn't found any situation where this doesn't apply.

Since he can shield against the Old Gods, then isolating the Lich King's mental map-hack should also be possible.

Galen had some things he wanted to say to Arthas privately.

"I know you're being controlled by Ner'zhul."

"How do you know his name!" The blue soulfire in Arthas's eyes trembled violently.

"Ner'zhul, my defeated foe. He was the spiritual leader of the Draenor Orcish Horde, who later attempted to reintegrate the Orcish army to invade Azeroth again. After being defeated by me, he escaped through the portal into the Twisting Nether, seeking a new world to make a comeback."

Galen briefly recounted his "story" with Ner'zhul.

"Unfortunately, his soul was captured by Kil'jaeden and then frozen in a large ice block, which crashed into Northrend."

"His mission is nothing more than to build the Scourge and help the Burning Legion deplete Azeroth's living forces. A pawn trying to be a player, heh."

Arthas remembered what he saw on the Frozen Throne: the Lich King was indeed trapped in ice.

"He's telling the truth!"

He originally thought that after obtaining Frostmourne and being taught a great deal of undead knowledge by the Lich King, he was already incredibly powerful, with only the Lich King above him!

He never imagined that the Lich King was just someone else's prisoner!

"Your existence is the key to the Lich King breaking free from the ice. His soul, your body, becoming one…"

Galen revealed Ner'zhul's little scheme step by step, and Arthas's heart was deeply wounded.

"I will never be devoured by him! Never!"

"Oh? So confident, young man. But what makes you think you can? Relying on Frostmourne? It might help you, or it might betray you."

Galen knew that Arthas would eventually defeat Ner'zhul. After Arthas donned the Helm of Domination, he and Ner'zhul engaged in a protracted war for control of the body.

This was a clash on the soul level. Arthas's personality was more arrogant, stubborn, and resolute, while the weakness in the old orc Ner'zhul's soul was his guilt over leading the orcs to serve the Burning Legion.

Arthas, on the other hand, had long buried all humanity and guilt. He no longer felt any sorrow for the slaughter of his father and the innocent, or for all the betrayals.

Through this weakness, Arthas shattered Ner'zhul's will and gained complete control over the Lich King's power.

But Arthas didn't know this yet, so Galen began to exaggerate the danger.

Arthas remained silent.

"I can help you," Galen said in a deep voice.

"Then what's the price?" Arthas believed he had no relationship with Galen. He wouldn't help him for no reason; he must want something.

"It's nothing much, just need you to do three things for me."

"Why should I trust you?"

"You have no choice, Arthas. Given your current actions, no one but me is willing to help you. Now I can help you shield against Ner'zhul's control! My ability, my sincerity, is here. Now it's up to you."

Arthas looked deeply at Galen. With his body strengthened by the Lich King's death magic, his strength was already at the peak of the legendary rank, but at this moment, facing Galen, he still felt that he was unfathomable. He didn't even have the courage to swing Frostmourne at him!

Demigod!

He could very well be a demigod!

Why!

Why didn't I have this kind of power back then!

Damn the Holy Light!

After a long silence, Arthas nodded in agreement.

"Very good, I hope we have a pleasant cooperation!"

"What are the three things?"

"The first thing, after the Lich King has acquired enough troops in Lordaeron, he will send troops north to attack the High Elf kingdom and use the waters of the Sunwell to resurrect Kel'Thuzad."

Arthas was stunned. How the hell did he know the battle plan even better than I did!

Although he was already a death knight, a chill still enveloped Arthas's heart.

"I need you to suggest to your master at a critical moment, when the army has been unable to conquer it for a long time, to change the target of attack, such as the Nightwell on the Broken Isles, the effect is basically the same."

Elissande, dare to offend me!

Does Galen know that I hold grudges!

"What else?"

"You know the Silvermoon Council, right? I need you to kill them all, which will also increase your high-end combat power. As for the third thing, I haven't thought about it yet. Don't worry, I won't make it difficult for you. I'll fulfill my promise now."

Galen handed Arthas a ring.

"This ring was specially made by a demigod-level warlock under my command. It can amplify the connection between the body and the soul." Galen thought of his Gul'dan, who endured humiliation and bided his time. It had been a long time since he had seen his ugly face, and he missed him a little.

"At the same time, I have also buried an illusion in it, which is a weakness aimed at Ner'zhul. Once you lose consciousness, it will automatically trigger, broadcasting in the spiritual world three hundred and sixty degrees without dead angles."

"That's it? A ring?"

"You can doubt my character, but you can't question my methods."

Arthas felt frantic inside after hearing this. If either of these two things goes wrong, I will be devoured by the Lich King's soul…

Arthas reluctantly took the ring, then took off his glove and put it on. He was prepared to verify Galen's words one by one in the days to come.

"Okay, the deal is done. You've received my deposit, remember to fulfill your promise. Also, when Ner'zhul is spying on your thoughts, remember to hide your little secrets, otherwise you may not be able to wait until the day you turn over."

"Farewell! Young man!"

After Galen disappeared, Arthas walked out of the outpost and stood quietly in the farm!

Until a mental force swept over again.

"Quick, return to Lordaeron City immediately!"

Arthas was stunned. Something must have happened. He rode Invincible and rushed towards the city!

At this time in the city, the massacre of the Scourge had been contained. A group of militiamen who didn't know where they came from were resisting, and they were organized to evacuate the refugees to the south of the city!

Ner'zhul was anxious. They're snatching my soldiers!
