Chapter 124 - OPRS: Chapter 124

Enel's offensive power is undoubtedly among the top in the One Piece world. He can attack targets several, even tens of kilometers away, a range comparable to short-range missiles. Few in the One Piece world possess such long-range attacks—only Whitebeard's tremors and tsunamis come close.

The issue isn't just distance; Akainu can also attack from afar, his magma blasts forming long-range projectiles. However, he can't see beyond a few kilometers; his effective range is limited to a few hundred to a thousand meters. Kizaru is similar; his light attacks have greater range, though refraction and scattering affect them; lasers can easily reach tens or hundreds of kilometers. But at Marineford, his attacks on the fleeing Straw Hats and Heart Pirates, several kilometers away, all missed. Either he was Dragon's spy, or his Observation Haki couldn't reach that far, forcing him to rely on area-of-effect attacks.

Everyone has been misled by the terrifying range of Enel's Mantra. Most people's Observation Haki covers about twenty meters; Luffy's, after his training, reached fifty; the Admirals' reach one to two kilometers at most; you can't hit what you can't see. But Enel's Mantra covers at least half of Jaya; in the Blue Sea, that's at least fifty kilometers.

His precise and powerful lightning attacks place him among the top three in the One Piece world in terms of offensive capabilities. Whether he could defeat the other two is debatable, but Big Mom and Kaido, while stronger and tougher, lack his accuracy, range, and power.

Such a person would struggle in close combat with Mihawk or the Admirals, but against weaker opponents, he demonstrates overwhelming strength.

Smoker and Hina were scorched, their eyes rolling back, as they collapsed. As Enel said, Smoker, holding his jitte, had a physical form; turning into smoke wasn't for dodging but for speed.

This made things easy. Lightning struck his hands, spreading through his body. Hina, unable to turn into smoke, suffered the same fate. To counter their Armament Haki, Enel increased the current's output; they lost muscle control and consciousness within seconds.

"Yey hahahaha…are these Navy Headquarters' elites?" He laughed maniacally, his laughter echoing across the deck. The ship's Marines swarmed the deck.

"Get lost, trash," Enel said, toying with Smoker's jitte, discovering a mechanism at the tip. "Seastone," he sneered, pressing the jitte against Smoker's chest; Smoker screamed. The current surged through the jitte, convulsing Smoker.

The most terrifying aspect of Logia-type Devil Fruits isn't transformation but the ability to create elements. This is why Pica's Stone Stone Fruit, despite its power, isn't Logia, and Katakuri's Mochi Mochi no Mi is a unique Paramecia; this is likely fruit awakening. Logia users can create elements—Smoker's smoke, Enel's lightning. Once separated from their bodies, this lightning isn't Devil Fruit power and isn't nullified by Seastone. Smoker suffered.

"Release the Captain!" Marines, armed with guns, tensely "confronted" Enel; their delusion annoyed him. With a snap of his fingers, everyone on deck collapsed.

"Should I sink this ship?" Enel mused, shaping Smoker's jitte into a long, thick metal rod. "Or are there secrets I don't know?" He planted the rod, turned into lightning, and floated towards the cabin, enjoying his freedom.

Smoker and Hina struggled on the deck, their eyes on the rod—Smoker's jitte—their only chance of turning things around.

"It's all your fault, Smoker," they groaned, their strong physiques allowing them to still move after Enel's powerful attack.

"Save your strength…" Smoker slowly crawled, grabbing the rod; another hand also grasped it.

"Like my new weapon? Yey hahaha!" Enel grinned.

Two minutes later, Smoker and Hina, cuffed with Seastone, lay on Smoker's amphibious trike, the Billy; Enel, triumphant, sped towards Alistair's ship.

At 3 PM, Alistair, Tashigi, and Ace returned to their ship to find Smoker and Hina bound to the mast, speechless and questioning their lives. Who am I? Where am I? Why are we here?
