Yes, they knew their purpose, just as they knew what Alistair would do next.
After the Marines left, Alistair explained their next move.
They would cleanse Mock Town, eliminating all the pirates—capturing or killing them on the spot. Those who cooperated would be spared, but those who didn't…
Alistair hadn't forgotten the world's common rule: people wouldn't listen until you defeated them.
This applied to pirates and Marines alike.
Alistair hadn't initially understood this, as he had successfully persuaded Boa Hancock.
But after encountering the Devils Luck and Spade Pirates, Alistair carefully inquired about their thoughts.
They told him: in the past, they would have beaten him up and thrown him into the sea.
If the Spade Pirates liked him, they would have recruited him.
Most uneducated people in this world relied on force, and educated people were often forced to do the same.
Kuzan and Fujitora were prime examples.
Alistair knew it would be difficult to make these pirates obey him.
So, he decided to make a strong first impression. Most pirates only listened to those with the strongest fists!
Only the Devils Luck and Spade ships landed; the Perfume Serpent remained offshore.
But besides the officers guarding the Perfume Serpent, the Boa Sisters and several officers joined Alistair.
Even in the early Grand Line, there were many Devil Fruit users with strange abilities, so they needed protection.
The pirate soldiers, armed with muskets, marched off the ship. Alistair didn't say much, simply waving his hand. "Begin the operation!"
"Thump, thump, thump…" Their steps were synchronized, spreading out in two ranks, towards the town center.
"Hey, who are these guys…" The pirates and civilians immediately noticed their difference.
Their marching wasn't perfect, but they were clearly more elite than most Marines.
Upon entering the town, they formed a blockade at the entrance, then spread out.
A squad leader shouted, "All pirates in Mock Town, listen! Drop your weapons and come out of the buildings peacefully. Resistance will be met with death!"
One hundred men, eight per squad, meant twelve squad leaders.
They blocked the entrance to Mock Town, spreading out like a crane's wings, forming three formations, completely blocking the pirates' escape routes, enraging the pirates who emerged from the buildings.
"Ran, Dalton, Sandersonia, Marigold, I need your help." Alistair addressed the four women behind him.
"Understood." They nodded, knowing their task—to seal off Mock Town, leaving no escape routes.
While only the main entrance and port were blocked, the four women combined were stronger than the entire Devils Luck crew, making it easy for them to secure the other exits.
"Let me have some fun too." Hancock, behind Alistair, stretched, revealing her beautiful figure.
"I'll be back." She winked at Alistair, jumped from the platform, and approached the pirates who had heard the commotion and were heading towards them.
The pirates' faces showed lustful expressions, greedy and ugly.
Having seen this many times, Hancock didn't bother with politeness. She simply clasped her hands, and a pink beam shot towards the infatuated pirates.
A second later, the port was filled with petrified figures. A few stronger, more alert pirates dodged her Mero Mero no Mi, instantly snapping out of their infatuation.
But their awakening brought deeper despair—they recognized her: Boa Hancock, the Shichibukai!
Many pirates were petrified on the docks. The remaining elite couldn't defeat Hancock, but they couldn't escape.
Small boats like Luffy's were rare; most pirates used medium-sized ships requiring at least ten people to operate.
They hoped their captain could break through…
Even if it was a slim chance, they hoped that after gathering Mock Town's forces, they could defeat Hancock and return to their ships.
"What the hell are you?! Blocking Mock Town?! Die!" The pirates' patience was short. Despite seeing the muskets, they fired—most shots missed, relying purely on luck.
But something terrifying happened.
Even when hit, the revolutionaries remained motionless, unwavering.
Two men emerged from the back of the ranks, dragging away the wounded. Two of the wounded even pulled themselves up, rejecting help, continuing to aim their muskets, waiting silently for orders.
A chill ran down the pirates' spines.
If they had returned fire or faltered, the pirates might not have been so afraid. But even the wounded remained calm and unyielding.
These people were far more terrifying than they imagined…
The pirates no longer saw four ranks of musketeers, but an unbreakable wall, a mountain, slowly pressing down on them.
