Chapter 56 - OPRS: Chapter 56

Without pirate or Marine insignia, who were these people?

As the pirates were filled with doubt, a sneer came from a building in Mock Town.

"Bang!" A gunshot, accompanied by a cloud of smoke, erupted from a rooftop.

A sniper, who had somehow climbed onto a roof, opened fire without hesitation.

"Hey, that's a bit much," Mihar adjusted his hat, having somehow taken his rifle from his back, and fired a shot.

Everyone saw two bullets collide in mid-air, sparking, then changing course. One vanished into the sky, the other embedding itself in the earth, leaving only a small hole.

"Ah, so that's how it is," Alistair realized that Mock Town had some capable pirates.

Bellamy the Hyena, with a bounty of over 50 million Berries, used Mock Town as his base, recruiting new members or hunting pirates for bounties, gaining fame to impress Donquixote Doflamingo.

The Blackbeard Pirates also encountered the Straw Hats in Mock Town.

The Blackbeard Pirates hadn't formed yet; Teach was still waiting for the Yami Yami no Mi. But that didn't mean his future crew weren't in Mock Town.

Capable individuals wouldn't hang around with Baroque Works in Whiskey Peak or Alabasta's Carnival—they would gather in places like Mock Town to find someone worth serving.

It was normal for one or two of Blackbeard's original five crew members to be in Mock Town.

Alistair wouldn't be surprised if all four were there.

The sniper's skill was likely only matched by Van Augur, Blackbeard's sniper.

Otherwise, only the Red Hair Pirates' three top sharpshooters or a fully matured Usopp could rival Mihar.

Mihar wasn't the same as fifteen days ago.

Mihar was one of those who had awakened Observation Haki in fifteen days.

His combat strength was among the top in the Spade Pirates, possibly surpassing Ace—though Ace had also awakened Observation Haki, a sniper's and a melee fighter's Observation Haki differed significantly.

"Whoa!" A voice came from the smoke.

A second gunshot followed.

This time, he didn't target the revolutionary pirates, but Mihar's position.

Mihar didn't flinch. After firing, he immediately reloaded. When the shot arrived, he fired back without hesitation.

The sparks from the colliding bullets flashed before everyone's eyes, then both bullets vanished.

Gulps.

The pirates swallowed nervously, realizing the strength of the snipers in Mock Town. They couldn't determine whether the sniper who hit the bullet was stronger, or the one who took the initiative.

But both snipers knew the other's skill, secretly thrilled: So strong!

Such skilled snipers in the Grand Line! Pirates shouldn't be underestimated!

They thought they were unique pirates, rulers of the Grand Line, but after two shots, they knew the other's skill—exceptionally high-level snipers, with excellent reloading speed and aim. Van Augur even realized the other was stronger.

The other's shots were always faster, defending against bullets being more difficult than attacking.

But that's what made it fun! Van Augur licked his lips, preparing for a third shot.

Alistair didn't let them continue their duel. He wasn't Luffy, needing one-on-one fights. With a significant advantage, he would simply overwhelm them.

"Forward ten paces." Alistair raised his hand, shouting.

"Thump! Thump! Thump!" The revolutionaries moved forward ten paces.

These ten paces were like a mountain pressing down on the Mock Town pirates, shaking their resolve. Even more terrifying, the revolutionaries' aim remained steady!

This force was terrifying!

Van Augur trembled slightly, excited, wanting to defeat their strongest sniper!

Bang bang bang!

The pirates finally opened fire.

Some revolutionaries fell, but the others didn't advance, letting their comrades bleed.

"Fire!" Alistair's arm slashed down.

"Bang!"

The synchronized firing created a smoke screen.

The squad leaders directed the aim, using their gun barrels to target specific areas.

The three formations targeted different areas!

One targeted the pirates on the sides of the street, another a gun barrel sticking out of a building, and the last Van Augur's area.

Ignoring the cries of the wounded, the pirates felt a surge of excitement. Someone shouted, "They're reloading! Charge!"

Countless pirates surged from the buildings, led by several mid-sized pirate captains, charging into the revolutionaries' formation.

But then, that nightmare-like voice echoed again.

"Fire!"

So fast?!

That thought barely crossed their minds before the synchronized gunshots sounded like a death knell.

Many pirates hadn't reacted before being thrown back, riddled with bullet holes.
