In addition to that, Ember was forced to place Ansel on the Drovane's Ship as supervisor just so the squire would monitor Khaos's man. All because she couldn't just blindly trust that what Khaos aimed for wouldn't sabotage her mission.
"To teach you painting?" He asked, amused by the request like he couldn't quite comprehend why she wanted to learn from him in the first place.
It wasn't like she was without work—as it was she had a lot of paperwork in hand, so why spare time to learn an Art she had never dabbled with. Yes, she drew as a distraction most of the time, but painting was an entirely different thing.
