Chapter 223 - Hulk vs. Ancient One: Who's Stronger?

"I never thought Odin's final days would be spent on Earth," Tony Stark exclaimed.

  Everyone present sighed in regret.

Besides Star-Lord and Strange, everyone had just recently witnessed this majestic old man in Asgard.

Back then, though aging, Odin still stood like a mountain. His

  mere presence instilled immense pressure.

But who could have imagined that so shortly after, they would witness Odin's death?

Regardless, Odin's death was a natural outcome, a happy ending, nothing to mourn.

"This footage clearly took place shortly after Loki faked his own death and ascended the throne of Asgard. I never imagined it would happen so soon,"

  Thor said, somewhat taken aback.

Everyone had previously speculated that Odin's death would be very recent, perhaps even around the time Loki ascended the throne. Now, their suspicions were proven correct.

Loki ascended the throne of Asgard when the nine celestial bodies converged and the dark elves revived.

This kind of thing has already happened!

Almost a year has passed since the nine celestial bodies converged and everyone worked together to kill Malekith!

The day of Odin's death is even closer.

The thought of this made Thor's heart sink.

  "Thor, are you okay?"

Captain America glanced at Thor and asked.

"I'm fine." Thor shook his head and forced himself to cheer up. "Everyone, continue to discuss the topic as you wish. I'm completely fine."

No one paid any more attention to Thor's emotions.

After all, Odin died of old age, which was considered a good death, and Thor was no child.

"Everyone, I'm sure you all remember the video of Hela crushing Thor's hammer," Tony Stark said again. "Obviously, this video happened before that one."

"In other words, after Odin's death, Hela immediately appeared before Thor and Loki and crushed Thor's hammer!"

There was no doubt about this. The veterans who had watched the corresponding video had actually recalled it long ago.

"I have to say, this is really beyond my expectations." Dr. Banner scratched his head. "The goddess of death, Hela, whom we've been following all this time, turned out to be Thor's sister."

"This explains why Hela is so powerful, but Thor has never heard of her name. It turns out she was always imprisoned by Odin," Captain America said.

He then began to summarize, "This footage gives us two important pieces of information."

"First, Hela's power comes from Asgard. Once she returns to Asgard, she will become even more powerful."

"Second, Hela was imprisoned by Odin for a very long time due to her overreaching ambition. She likely harbors hatred for both Odin and Asgard. Thor,"

Captain America said, turning his gaze to Thor again. "Hela might actually attack Asgard. You must be prepared."

"The option of Hela invading Asgard has appeared in multiple questions, which also suggests something,"

Tony Stark added. "Based on our experience, none of these options are fabricated

." Everyone present was essentially unanimous that Hela would attack Asgard.

The possibility was truly very high.

Even if it wasn't certain, it was essential for Asgard to be prepared.

"The father locked up his daughter, and then the daughter finally escaped when her father died. She eventually returned to her family for revenge, even fighting her own brother."

Star-Lord shrugged. "Wow, what a messed-up family dynamic!"

[Question: The Hulk broke into the New York Temple in search of the Time Stone. In which of the following ways did the Hulk obtain the Time Stone from the Ancient One?]

[A. Defeating the Ancient One through sheer strength and stealing the Time Stone]

[B. Using emotional and logical persuasion to convince the Ancient One to voluntarily hand over the Stone]

[C. Joining forces with other teammates to steal the Stone from the Ancient One]

[D. Threatening to destroy the Temple to force the Ancient One to hand over the Stone ]

[Friendly Reminder: Correct answers will be rewarded with the Horse Talisman of the Twelve Talismans.

Incorrect answers will have one attribute randomly deducted from your stats, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, possessions, etc.]

Amidst the chatter, the second question appeared. Everyone

paused their discussion and focused their attention on the new one.

"Hulk's looking for the Time Stone?"

Tony Stark was the first to notice something. "Why would Hulk be looking for the Time Stone? Did this happen after Thanos snapped his fingers?"

  "That's probably the case

," Thor thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement. "According to our previous theory, after Thanos destroyed the Infinity Stones, everyone time-traveled to find them."

"What we know for sure is that Stark and Cap searched for the Tesseract and the Scepter, while Natasha went to that mysterious mountain to find the Soul Stone."

"Although we don't know much about the other stones, everyone should have searched for all six, right?"

  It was a natural guess.

Since only by gathering all six Infinity Stones could one snap their fingers and wipe out half of all life in the universe, the reverse was also true.

To undo Thanos's actions and restore those he had destroyed, six Infinity Stones would be necessary.

"Let's sort it out. I remember you said that Thanos killed Loki on the Asgardian spaceship and stole the Cosmic Cube. At that time, he had two Infinity Stones, and the Time Stone was not among them."     Strange also joined in. "That's when the Hulk was teleported to Earth by Heimdall."

"Earth doesn't have the capabilities for interstellar exploration, and considering the situation with Thanos' imminent arrival, Dr. Banner should have remained on Earth to prepare for war."

"During the Battle of Wakanda, we saw that no one except Dr. Banner knew Thanos, which means he hadn't been to Earth before then."

"But by then, Thanos had already taken the Time Stone!"

"That means Thanos didn't take the Time Stone from Dr. Banner. In other words, the Time Stone wasn't in Dr. Banner's possession during that time."

"So, yes, that's right. Dr. Banner didn't get the Time Stone during that time. It must have been during the time of time travel."

Through everyone's simple analysis, the time described in the title for the Hulk's search for the Time Stone is basically confirmed.

While not 100% certain, it's still very likely.

"Let's look at a few options," Dr. Banner began, analyzing them. "A. Hulk defeating the Ancient One? The Ancient One? That woman with a high position in Kamar-Taj?"

The clues regarding the Ancient One were few, if any at all.

All they had came from the conversation between Kaecilius and Doctor Strange. They could only speculate that the Ancient One held a high position and had likely lived for a long time.

Of course, they were also incredibly powerful.

Kaecilius's battle with Doctor Strange was a clear witness; he was far more powerful than Strange.

But even he needed to draw power from the "ritual" to defeat the Ancient One. While

little was known about the Ancient One, there was no doubt he was a powerful figure.

What would happen if such a figure fought the Hulk?

After carefully comparing and analyzing the scenarios, they could only conclude that it was impossible to say. While it was possible for the Hulk to defeat the Ancient One, it wouldn't be surprising if he were defeated.

After all, everyone had already witnessed a great deal of the wizard's methods. They were truly astonishing, capable of countless unconventional, seemingly miraculous feats.

The Hulk was a formidable threat to most people, but against such a wizard, that wasn't necessarily the case.

"We can't say for option A," Tony Stark said immediately. "We can only say it's a possibility, but we can't be sure

." "There aren't many people in the world who can defeat the Hulk, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Ancient One was one of them."

No one at the scene raised any objections. A fight between the Hulk and the Ancient One was truly difficult to predict.

  "What about

option B?" Strange focused on option B and immediately made a judgment. "Can't we rule out option B? Once Dr. Banner transforms into the Hulk, he's a monster, right? He'll just crush everything."

After sharing information with everyone, Strange had a basic understanding of the situation.

Unfortunately, his understanding wasn't very detailed.

"Appealing to reason and emotion isn't likely to work with the Hulk now, but the future is uncertain," Captain America said, shaking his head.

"Strange, we've analyzed before that the Hulk is constantly evolving, his rationality increasing. Perhaps one day he'll be able to completely control his anger and regain his sanity."

Tony Stark began to explain. "If the Hulk back then was the 'rational Hulk,' it's not impossible for him to reason with the Ancient One."

"But even if that's the case, option B isn't possible, is it?" Star-Lord shook his head repeatedly. "That's the Time Stone! How could someone persuade someone of something so important?"

"Whoever the Ancient One is, she seems like a very powerful figure. How could she be persuaded?"

Star-Lord thought about it and found it a bit far-fetched.

Everyone in the room shook their heads, thinking this option was simply impossible. It sounded a bit too ridiculous.

"Everyone, I think we should analyze this option carefully." But after a moment of contemplation, Tony Stark said to the group with a serious face.

"Stark, do you have a different opinion?" Thor glanced at Tony Stark with a hint of surprise.

Everyone else in the room also turned their attention to Tony Stark, awaiting his insight.

"We've analyzed this before. The Hulk's search for the Time Stone at the New York Temple likely occurred after the destruction of the Infinity Stones, during the time everyone was time-traveling to find them, correct?"

  "No one doubts that, right?"

Naturally, no one had any doubts; this point had been agreed upon since the start of the analysis.

"And then there's another point. During Endgame, Doctor Strange raised a finger to me, reminding me how to deal with Thanos. I'm sure everyone still remembers it."

This scene had been brought up more than once during the quiz, so naturally, everyone still remembered it.

"Stark, what are you trying to say?" Captain America asked, staring at Tony Stark with a puzzled look.

"We've analyzed before that time travel occurred after Thanos's head was chopped off, not during Endgame. So why did Doctor Strange know how to deal with Thanos during Endgame?"

"If he knew the method, why didn't he tell me ahead of time? Why did he only raise a finger to remind me at that critical moment?"

"You mean Doctor Strange knew time," Dr. Banner interjected.

Tony Stark had also mentioned this theory in a previous question.

It's because Doctor Strange knew the future that he feared altering the timeline, making the conditions for dealing with Thanos impossible, so he warned Tony Stark at the last minute.

"Right!" Tony Stark nodded. "That's a reasonable guess. Doctor Strange possesses the Time Stone, and we've seen footage of him manipulating time."

"For them, seeing the future isn't unusual."

"Although I don't know the truth behind Doctor Strange's finger, I can accept that he can see the future," Thor nodded.

Not only Thor, but everyone else at the scene also agreed.

After all, we have all seen the image of Doctor Strange using the Time Stone to manipulate time. He can even make time go backwards, so what's the big deal about seeing the future?

By the time everyone had analyzed this, they had a vague idea of what Tony Stark meant.
