The retired spy-turned-director arched a brow at Sasame's unexpected companion.

"Pain without purpose is just torture." Sasame tapped her forehead. "You're already strong."
Hinata's cheeks pinked.

The decoy dispelled as Sasame returned Hinata—just in time for dinner.
"Where were you?!" Hiashi's voice cracked like a whip.
(The real Hinata would've crumbled. But today—)

A lie. And Hiashi knew.
