Hugo had seemingly executed the perfect 'Power move', but still somehow had the script flipped on him by Fergus.
It just went to show, that sometimes, regardless of the strategy, a true master always had to be prepared for all outcomes...

Meanwhile, the Reverend cleared his throat meaningfully. He understood discretion, or so he thought.
"Ahem... well well, haha, there's no rush to decide! You can let me know your answer later, young man," he said with a knowing wink.
"In the meantime... I... 'best go check on the Play.'" He added with a dry chuckle, 'leaving them to it.'

"...Holy sh**!!!" Hugo paled, as he realised what he was 'getting himself into', and what was being implied.
His instinctive reaction was to hastily turn aside the piping funnel nozzle and let go and deny everything, even as the cream would continue to come out with a splatter... though with the current state of affairs, did it even matter?!
