RAIN POV
The reports came in like cold wind — sharp, heavy, impossible to ignore.
The Uldar and the Nocturnes had already wiped out entire villages, and every whisper said the same thing: our pack would be next.
By the time night fell, fear had already taken root in everyone's eyes. Wolves and other creatures from the wasteland poured into our borders — survivors, wanderers, the broken and the desperate. Some came because their homes were gone, burned to ash. Others came because they believed in me — the Starborn. Because they were tired of living under Azrath's curse.
The Nocturnem Hollow was overflowing that night. Everywhere I looked, tents crowded the clearing. Fires flickered between anxious faces. Cries of the wounded blended with murmurs of prayer. I tried to stand tall, to look like a leader… but inside, I was trembling.
It was too much. Too many lives. Too much hope resting on me — and I didn't even feel like the person they thought I was.
