Chapter 373 - Chapter 374: An Attack from a Yonko

Whoosh! Rumble!

From below the mountain, there was another sharp whistling sound. A large figure flew up at high speed, with a conical white sonic boom cloud in front of it.

Thud!

The figure landed heavily on the peak, instantly creating a huge crater. The immense force shook the entire mountain, and countless shattered rocks rolled down.

"Come on, let's play again! Wororororo!" The person laughed wildly. He had a pair of horns and a tall, burly body, and he exuded an aura that was even fiercer than the giant beast.

In the clouds, Aeridar's mouth twitched as he stared at the person in disbelief.

"Kaido of the Beasts!!!"

That's right, the person was tall and burly, with long black hair, a pair of horns, and a long mustache. He had a scale tattoo on his left arm. His upper body was bare, and he wore loose pants with a shimenawa tied around his waist.

It was none other than Kaido of the Beasts, one of the Yonko.

Aeridar, still in the clouds, grabbed his hair in confusion. "How is this guy here? Wasn't he locked up by the Marines? How did he get out so fast? And how did he get all the way to the Calm Belt?"

"Hmm?!" Kaido suddenly frowned and looked up at the clouds. "There's a little fly here."

"I've been found?" Aeridar was shocked.

"Hmph! Get down here, you cowardly scum!" Kaido roared, punching the air.

BOOM!

The terrifying punch caused the air to churn, forming a hurricane-like shockwave that shot straight into the sky.

"What?!" Aeridar's face changed, and he quickly dodged to the side.

The thick clouds in the sky were pierced by the hurricane-like shockwave, leaving a gaping hole.

"Hmph... This monster!!!" Aeridar gasped in disbelief at the sight.

With a casual punch, he had pierced the sky. Was he really that powerful? It was too unbelievable.

When Kaido suddenly attacked the sky, Calamodus quickly flapped its wings. It wasn't trying to attack; it was trying to escape. It seemed to have been beaten into submission by Kaido.

"Trying to run? No way. I'm not done yet." Kaido didn't care that his punch missed. But when he saw the tough giant beast trying to run, his burly body flashed. He covered dozens of meters in an instant and grabbed Calamodus by the tail.

Rumble~

Kaido exerted his strength and swung Calamodus hard onto the ground. The immense force shook the entire mountain again, cracking the ground, and countless fissures appeared in the mountain itself.

"Kaido-san, I am..." Seeing Kaido manhandling his target, Aeridar felt a pang of distress. He flew down, intending to talk to Kaido.

"Another flying guy! I'll beat you first, then we can talk!" Kaido cut Aeridar off. He let go of Calamodus's tail, stomped his foot, and leaped into the air. In a flash, he was in front of Aeridar and threw three heavy punches at him.

"Damn it!" The whistling wind felt like a knife cutting his face. Aeridar had no choice but to cross his arms in front of him, trying to block Kaido's attack.

Thud!

Whoosh!

Rumble!

Kaido's fist, the size of an adult's head, slammed into Aeridar's arms. Aeridar felt an overpowering force pushing his body. He instantly became a black blur, flying backward and smashing into the mountain.

In a matter of seconds, he had gone through half of the mountain, flying out from the other side. A long, tunnel-like hole was left in the mountain, and he finally crashed into the forest below.

A huge crater several meters in diameter formed out of nowhere. The ground shook violently, and cracks appeared all around it. A powerful shockwave exploded, tearing up the trees within a hundred meters, and even the soil was scraped off. The air churned within a radius of several hundred meters, raising a cloud of dust.

"Am I... seeing things?" Oliver had just arrived at the foot of the mountain when he saw his captain being sent flying. He was completely stunned, looking on in disbelief.

It took a while for the dust to settle.

"Cough, cough," Aeridar coughed as he climbed out of the crater, which was over a meter deep.

Looking up at the mountain hundreds of meters away, Aeridar thought with a pounding heart, 'This monster... has so much power!'

He had always heard that Garp, the Marine Hero, trained by punching mountains, using them as sandbags. He could easily shatter a mountain with a single punch. But Kaido's punch was different. If that punch had hit the mountain, Aeridar was certain it would have been completely shattered.

If he hadn't used his Impact-Impact Fruit ability to release a counter-impact that canceled out Kaido's punch, he would have been seriously injured. Even so, Aeridar's arms felt numb.

It was no wonder Doflamingo was so afraid of Kaido. Kaido's punch alone would be enough to force Doflamingo to use his Awakened String-String Fruit techniques just to barely block it.

"He blocked it? Not bad, not bad! Wororororo~ Do it again!" Kaido, standing on the mountain, laughed when he saw that Aeridar was not hurt. He flew toward Aeridar again.

"What?!" Aeridar, who was about to explain, saw Kaido flying toward him menacingly again, and his face turned green.

Damn it!

His strength was, at best, on par with Doflamingo, or perhaps his offensive and flying abilities were slightly better and more flexible. Doflamingo's String-String Fruit ability was very comprehensive, combining offense, defense, flight, and healing. Aeridar was similar, except he couldn't heal himself. His offense and flying were superior, and his defense was about the same.

However, he was still far from being able to contend with a Yonko-level powerhouse. From that one punch from Kaido, Aeridar could already see the huge gap between them.

He knew Kaido's crazy personality and that he had no choice but to fight. Aeridar gritted his teeth. "Damn it, so what if he's a Yonko? I'll fight him!"

With that, Aeridar stood straight, his muscles tensed, his right arm bulging. He threw a punch.

Faster than words could describe, the two fists, one big and one small, collided.

Thud!

Rumble~

First, there was a muffled thunder-like roar. A distorted ripple swept out from between their fists, and a violent tremor immediately spread through the air, radiating the power of the blow.

Then, the ground instantly collapsed inward. A white ring of powerful shockwaves exploded, flipping everything within a radius of several hundred meters. A layer of soil was scraped off, and the surrounding ground shook violently, as if in an earthquake, creating deep cracks one after another.
