"...Are they all monsters?"
In the forest, Oliver hid behind a huge tree that several people would need to hug to get their arms around, shielding himself from the strong winds. His face was filled with disbelief. The sheer destructive power of a single clash was enough to terrify even Oliver, who had once single-handedly destroyed a country. It was just too exaggerated.
"D-damn it, this... monstrous strength..." Aeridar gritted his teeth, holding his ground against Kaido's fist. Sweat beaded on his forehead, and his feet were buried deep in the ground.
After a brief stalemate, Kaido saw that his single punch was useless and finally let up.
"You brat, you look familiar." Kaido landed on the ground and looked at Aeridar, a sense of recognition in his eyes.
"Kaido-san, I'm Aeridar, the one who supplies you with the SS Potion, King." Seeing that Kaido seemed to have calmed down, Aeridar wiped a cold sweat from his brow and quickly introduced himself.
"Ah! So you're King!" Kaido's eyes widened, and he recognized Aeridar. "It's really you, you little brat!"
Although Aeridar and Kaido had never met in person, they had both seen each other's photos. The fact that Kaido could remember a person just from a photo meant that Aeridar held a certain level of importance in his mind.
"Wororororo~ King, your stuff is of great quality, just as good as Joker's. And your SS Potion has made my subordinates much stronger." After recognizing Aeridar, Kaido laughed, praising the things Aeridar sold. Then, he asked, "But what are you doing here, brat?"
"Oh... I'm here for that big guy on the mountain." Aeridar was surprised but didn't hide anything. He pointed at Calamodus, which had gotten back up on the mountain peak.
"Oh~ That thing is quite durable. I hit it many times, and it can still get up." Kaido turned his head and looked at it with a hint of joy. Such a durable fellow meant he could have more fun.
"Kaido-san, I was wondering if you could give that guy to me. My scientists need it for research." Despite it being Kaido's prey, Aeridar asked him with a brave face.
"That's not a problem." Kaido was generous. It was just a durable creature, after all, and he agreed without hesitation.
"Oh..." Aeridar was stunned that the other party had agreed so easily. He quickly recovered and thanked him. "Thank you very much. When there are new research results, I'll be the first to sell them to the Beasts Pirates."
"Whatever. Just fight me now. Let me see who is stronger between you and Joker," Kaido said nonchalantly, a puff of white air escaping from his nose.
However, this scared Aeridar. He knew how badly Kaido had beaten Doflamingo in the past.
"Well..." Aeridar frowned, but he knew this was an excellent opportunity to test his strength. As Kaido's business partner, Kaido would not kill him. At most, he would be seriously injured. It was a perfect chance to experience the power of this world's peak.
"Alright, but I hope you'll go easy on me, Kaido-san. And I still need to take that big guy with me." Aeridar gritted his teeth and agreed. He then shouted toward the other side of the forest, "Oliver, help me stop that guy. I'm going to spar with Kaido-san."
"No problem, no problem at all." Kaido readily agreed.
But in the forest, Oliver was a little dumbfounded. Stopping that big guy was fine, but what was this about sparring with Kaido? What gave you the courage?
However, since things had come to this, Oliver had no choice. He looked up at the mountain.
At this moment, Calamodus on the mountain flapped its wings and took flight. It wanted to get away from the demon Kaido as soon as possible, but the fall had left its bones numb and aching, and it couldn't control its body. It flew crookedly and even dropped a few feet in the air.
"This is troublesome." Seeing Calamodus in mid-air, Oliver drew Nagamitsu and Yubashiri. He unleashed a Two-Sword Style slash, and a flash of light appeared, followed by a huge, pale-blue bird-like slash that flew toward Calamodus.
Two-Sword Style: Garuda Slash!!!
Pfft!
Pfft!
The pale-blue bird-like slash flew into the air, startling Calamodus. It quickly dodged, but Oliver's attack was too sudden, and it failed to completely avoid it, as a piece of its tail was severed.
The bird-like slash didn't stop there. It flew past Calamodus and directly hit the mountainside behind it, carving a huge, dozens-of-meters-long gash in it.
Whoosh~
Rumble~
Due to the sudden attack and the loss of its tail, Calamodus lost its balance and fell from mid-air. Its huge body crashed to the ground, creating three enormous craters.
Roar~
With a low growl, Calamodus shook its head and stood up. However, its right front claw had already fully recovered, and the wounds on its body were healing at a visible rate as countless tiny buds of flesh grew quickly.
"Heh heh heh~ This regeneration ability is terrifying, but it must be fun to slice and dice," Oliver said with a sinister smile, spinning his two swords before rushing forward in an instant.
Clang!
A flash of a brilliant blade passed by, striking Calamodus's sharp claws. The colliding forces erupted in an amazing shockwave as strong as a hurricane.
Rumble rumble rumble~
Rumble rumble rumble~
Just as Oliver and Calamodus began to fight, Aeridar and Kaido's battle also started.
With the immense power granted by his Impact-Impact Fruit, Aeridar went all out, clashing head-on with Kaido. A circle of shockwaves rippled through the air, stirring up endless dust and air pressure.
The earth cracked, craters appeared in the forest, and countless trees were blown to pieces. The shattered wood flew in all directions with more force than ordinary bullets.
"Impact Wave!!!" Aeridar roared with a look of madness on his face, throwing a punch.
Whoosh~
Instantly, the air churned, and a white glow erupted.
"Wororororo~ The Impact Wave of Sengoku! It's got some kick! It's got some kick!" Kaido roared defiantly, charging forward without dodging. The visible air shockwave slammed into his body.
But Kaido endured the shockwave with his body and ran quickly through it.
"What?!" Aeridar was dumbfounded. This was the first time he had seen someone withstand his Impact Wave like this.
