Chapter 87 - CHAPTER EIGHTY-SIX

They were going back to the hut where they were staying now; she didn't know if it was appropriate to return early.

They immediately entered the hut and sensed that no one was inside, prompting the three of them to exchange glances. They looked at the time; it was almost four in the morning.

"Are we going to sleep?" Chesca asked them.

They immediately went to their room; they also checked the room of the two, which was hushed as well.

"Come here." Thalia immediately urged them.

The light in their room was off, so they lay back down and listened to their surroundings. They heard footsteps, so the three of them exchanged glances.

They signaled each other to avoid drawing attention, since they had left the house in their pajamas, which made it clear that they were not dressed appropriately. They heard a banging on the door in the other room. She didn't understand why the way they returned was so furious.

Probably, we weren't caught. Ericka thought to herself.

The surroundings fell silent, and her body called her to sleep again because of the calm she felt around her. She woke up because of the sunlight hitting their window. So, Ericka got up from the bed. She checked her phone to see what time it was.

It was almost six o'clock. Ericka thought to herself, stretched her arms and whole body to avoid feeling sleepy, went out of the room, and met Thalia, who was preparing their breakfast.

She was in her house clothes, so she went back to change into her pajamas. Ericka went to the kitchen after changing into her home clothes; she scanned her surroundings. She didn't see the two people at that time.

"Are those two still not awake?" Ericka asked.

"They're still sleeping," Chesca said while doing something.

She just nodded and helped out. After a while, they heard a yawn and footsteps approaching their direction.

"Oh, good morning." Isabel greeted them.

"Good morning." Thalia greeted the two people accompanying them.

There she goes again.  Ericka thought to herself.

They will play again. She only sighed at what she was thinking.

Ericka knew that Thalia was straightforward, but when she tried to play and toy with it, she wouldn't back down from a challenge.

I can see that Isabel will have a challenging time with Thalia.  She could only say it in her mind.

When will I tell Thalia the truth about what happened to her parents?  While chopping the ingredients, she found herself questioning when she would tell Thalia the truth about what happened to her parents.

Deep down, she suddenly felt guilty for not telling Thalia that she had witnessed what really happened to her parents' death.

Next time, I'll tell her.  She resolutely said to herself.

"Thalia, did you go out earlier?" Isabel's question brought her back to her senses.

"Yes, I went out earlier, but I came back." This is what she said.

Ericka was just listening to the conversation; she couldn't grasp Thalia's way of thinking right now.

"Oh, were you with Ericka earlier?" she asked.

"I was the only one who went out. Why do you ask, Isabel?" Thalia calmly asked, looking at Isabel with an innocent expression.

"Oh no, I just observed you emerge from the hut; that is why I am inquiring. It's dangerous nowadays." Said the worried Isabel.

"Ah, I was just looking for something important; thereafter, I came back right away." Thalia said.

Chesca just stared at her, letting the two be.

"I see. Next time be careful when you go out; I can accompany you." Isabel said with a smile.

"Thank you for your concern, Isabel. You are such a kind person." Thalia said with a smile.

Where's the kindness, Thalia?  She could only smile secretly at the exchange between the two.

Ericka knew that Isabel was trying to catch Thalia for what happened earlier so she could still monitor Thalia's actions.

"I've gotten too close to you. If you experience any problems, Ericka or Ruth, please tell me. I'm willing to help all of you." Isabel said.

"Isn't that right, Tricia?" Isabel asked the one who was quietly eating pandesal earlier.

"Yeah, we will always be there." Tricia added with a smile.

"Thank you; I hope you do the same when you have problems." Thalia just smiled then.

"Of course." Isabel nodded at them.

They ate quietly; they shouldn't let it indicate that there was tension between them. She needs to keep up with what's happening now.

Suddenly, images formed in her mind, so she grabbed Thalia and Chesca, who were eating. She sees what will happen: a map falls to the floor, which will serve as the catalyst for everything.

Isabel tracks them wherever they go, ensuring their capture and transport to the warehouse. She let go back then.

"Are you okay, Ericka? You look so pale. What happened?" One after another, they asked her.

"Ericka, you need to rest; you need to eat first." Isabel added.

Ericka just nodded; she secretly stared at Thalia, and their eyes met. She also saw the premonition while holding Thalia's hand.

The men in the organization were pursuing two women who were carrying a notebook. She gasped because she saw the woman's face.

Ellese?  She questioned in her mind.

No, that wasn't Ellese, but her twin sister Mikaela.  Ericka corrected her thought.

She pressed her temples when they hurt; she needed to rest.

"Eat first, and you need to rest, Ericka." Thalia had said back then.

She just nodded; she also saw Chesca looking worried about her. She also held her forehead and looked at her meaningfully.
