Outside of the Building….
Fortunately, after getting outside, they can't see any zombie anywhere in their sight which is great as it seems no other zombie comes here after last night when Kaneki took all the zombies in this area somewhere else
No other zombies come to this place which is really great since because of that at least the start of the journey is peaceful
Saya, Rei and Saeko were focused and tense as they had their weapons ready at any moment if any enemy showed up
After yesterday's events, they are just too alert as danger can pop out from any direction as well and they also got to know now that they just dont need to worry about Zombies but also humans
As of now since this place has become lawless meaning humans will also attack other humans for supplies and other things
Shizuka isn't worried at all as she is carefree as always since she has confidence that Kaneki will save her no matter the situation
She was also glad that Kaneki isn't avoiding her as he was doing previously time which is really great, since if he keeps avoiding her then she will be really sad
Alice was scared since she was just a kid as due to yesterday's events, she is already terrified but somehow she convinced herself that she will be safe
As she was moving with everyone else as she dont wanna left behind, meanwhile her dog was moving with her as Zeke was protecting her owner
Lastly, Kaneki was walking without any guard up at this moment since from his senses, he can tell it's definitely safe so he doesn't need to be on alert
His senses are enhanced as he can literally sense any creature within a certain range and that certain range isn't small at all
Even though he still feels a little embarrassed around Shizuka but he knows he needs to put aside his personal feelings for her safety

30 minutes…..
It's already been half of hour since they started to walk, and luckily they haven't been attacked yet as it's peaceful till now but Kaneki can sense it will change soon as he can now sense danger ahead
"There are those things ahead" Kaneki said as he alerted everyone to what's coming, as he thinks it's gonna chance for them to show off
Since it's a small group and he thinks it will be a lot better if they get practised with their new weapons, especially Rei and Saya
Also, he wanted to see Saeko fight with her sword as he has been curious about her sword skills for a while now
He wanted to know what they are capable of, so that he would know what they can handle and what they can't
He doesn't want them to become killer but if they can't do this then it will be really hard for them to survive as he needs to babysit all of them
So his place is to stay back with Alice and let them handle those zombies while he makes sure the safety of the kid
As well as he will be at a distance where he can use his tentacle-like things to protect the group as well since unlike him they dont have high senses
Not to mention he just needs to pay special attention to Saeko only because, unlike others, she will be fighting with a katana means she is the only one other than him who will be fighting in close combat
Meanwhile, others have firearms which they can use to attack at a distance even though they also have daggers but those are for emergency situations where they run out of bullets
And even one bite from any of those zombies is certain death in just a few minutes, as they would become walking corpses just like those things which is really bad considering how they dont have any treatment
Not only bites but also scratches since as long as the virus which is contained in the bodies of zombies can transform
As soon as expected zombies started to pop out from places after hearing footsteps, everyone other Kaneki swallowed their saliva as they were nervous
Living night with peace and enjoyment yesterday, they almost forgot how horrifying these things look, especially in daylight where they can see clearly
"I will take care of it" Saeko said as she grabbed her katana and rushed forward with the intent to kill Especially after killing an actual living human for the first time, she really doesn't hesitate at all now
She doesn't really feel anything after killing not only these things but also humans, as even after killing a person for the first time in her life she still doesn't really feel anything about it
And thats the reason she doesn't really mind killing more, as this is something which dont make her regret or sad at all
She doesn't want them to know about this, as she is really afraid that they gonna think of her as some mentally ill person with violent tendencies
Thinking about the future where they see her with horror in their eyes as well as avoid her, she doesn't know how she will be able to handle that mentally
Which is the reason she swore that she would let them know about her heart at any cost, with those thoughts in her mind
She rushed forward towards the zombie who had just come from some building, as she unsheathed her katana the moment she reached near that zombie
*swoosh*
With one swift slash, she managed to cut the neck of the zombie without any mercy as the head of the zombie got severed from its body clean
It was a clean and swift slash, and moreover with that move zombie instantly dropped down dead without moving
