"If I want to, I won't treat you like a traitor wolf." Len chuckled before taking his hand back. That was only when Eugene saw how Len's palm grew bloody from the third-degree burn on it.
Len looked down at the hand and smiled a little. "This is nothing. That silver pellet will disrupt the moon energy gathering in your body as long as it's inside. You won't wolf out no matter how hard you try. You will hunger, though."
Eugene leaned into Irving's hug, which softened after the ordeal. "Was this them? Claude said… bounty hunters… the hospital…"
"Yes." Len's eyes grew dim. He then turned and walked toward Claude. Instead of pulling Claude up from the floor, he quickly sat between Claude's legs and spun to lean his head against Claude's chest. Without another word, Len somewhat fainted.
"Len?" Claude continued to be horrified. Len hadn't even changed out of his clothes from last night. He then looked at Irving. "What is happening…?"
