Chapter 123 - Chapter 111: Building a Base

Entering the nightclub, Tet casually weaved his way through the crowd, slipping between dancers like he'd done this a thousand times in a thousand worlds. He slid onto a barstool and said, "Where's your boss at?"

The bartender, the demon Mazikeen, gave him a slow, pointed once-over. She crossed her arms and said, "I'm sorry, we don't let minors in here."

Tet frowned, irritation flashing across his face. With a sharp snap of his fingers, the music stopped cold, and everyone in the bar froze in place like statues caught mid-motion. He leaned forward slightly and said, "I'm way older than you, by the way."

A smooth, amused voice answered from beside him, "Yes, you are. And you're almost as strong as my father. So tell me: what's a being like you doing in my bar?"

Sitting next to Tet was a handsome man with slicked-back black hair, dark brown eyes, and a full black beard. He wore a sharp black suit with a white shirt.

Tet simply said, "Your dad asked me to get you out of the house for a bit."

Lucifer blinked, startled, and said, "Excuse me?"

Tet shrugged and said, "Do you want to go on a stroll through other worlds or what?"

Lucifer raised an eyebrow, curiosity lighting up his face. "Worlds outside my multiverse?"

Tet said, "Yep," as casually as possible.

Lucifer turned toward the bar and called out, "Maze, pack a bag. We're going on a road trip."

Maze grinned widely, her eyes sparking with excitement. "You got it, boss." She vanished into the back.

Tet pulled out a sleek watch and handed it to Lucifer, who took it carefully. Tet said, "This will let you travel to other universes. Some don't currently have gods, and others I got permission for you to enter. I also programmed a list of places I thought you'd find interesting."

Lucifer's smile grew as he scrolled through the device. "Wonderful. Thank you so much for this." His eyebrows shot up in delight. "Oh, a version of Hell that's basically a musical? I'll just add that to the bookmarks. Now, where is the horror movie universe? I want to pay Freddy Krueger a visit and show him what a real nightmare is."

Tet sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Nope. I ain't doing another intervention. The last one just ended with me being a wingman."

He turned to Lucifer with a tired look and said, "Anyway, have fun and don't cause too much chaos."

Lucifer threw his head back and laughed for a full minute before realizing Tet wasn't joking. His laughter shut off like a switch, and he said, "Oh. You're serious. Very well, I'll behave." Unseen by Tet, Lucifer casually crossed his fingers behind his back.

Maze returned with a bag slung over her shoulder and said, "I'm ready."

Lucifer stood up smoothly and said, "See you later, new friend."

He tapped a destination on the watch, and he and Maze vanished in a flash of light that rippled through the frozen nightclub.

Left alone in the silence, Tet reached behind the bar, poured himself a glass of whiskey, threw it back in one burning gulp, and said, "What have I done."

-----

Tet returned to Orario and finished designing the familia's base. The moment he stepped back to admire the result, he froze and said, "Oh crap, did I just make a replica of Monteriggioni in Orario?"

He slowly turned in a full circle, taking in the layout with dawning realization. "Yep. I even built the Auditore villa... and added a swimming pool, a hot spring, modernized the houses because screw not having indoor plumbing… and I even fenced in the whole place and made a barrier that no one can see through. So no need to worry about spying."

A voice behind him breathed out, "Wow."

Tet turned around sharply and saw Tione, Tiona, and Lefiya standing at the entrance, each holding bags and staring wide-eyed at the small town he had just built.

Tiona stepped forward with sparkling eyes, practically vibrating with excitement as she said, "Is this whole thing our new base?"

Tet grinned a little at her energy and said, "Yep. But how'd you know to come here?"

Lefiya lifted her hand and said, "Lady Hestia came and said to head over."

Tet nodded, the explanation clicking into place. "Makes sense. Go on in and pick a room. There are bedrooms in the villa, or you can grab yourself a house."

The three of them bolted inside at full speed, laughing, racing each other like kids unleashed in a candy store. Tet chuckled at the sight, his shoulders relaxing as he followed after them at a leisurely pace.

As Tet walked, Hestia and Vesta appeared on either side of him. Vesta looked around with wide eyes and said, "Whoa… you turned that miserable place into this?"

Tet shrugged lightly, a hint of pride sneaking onto his face. "Well, at first I wanted to be original, but my original design didn't match the city's aesthetic."

As they passed the rows of houses and warehouses, Tet gestured around and said, "In the original version of this town, some of these buildings were shops, but we don't need those just yet. I might get a blacksmith for the familia, but that's for later."

They walked up the steps to the villa, and Tet pointed things out as they went. "You'll find bedrooms, a living area, a pool, and a library ."

He paused and pointed toward a detached building surrounded by a wooden fence. "Though it doesn't match the rest of the place, I also installed a hot spring. Because Apollo has one already, and I'm sure he's making improvements to his base as we speak."

A moment later he pointed to a very large building on the opposite side of the courtyard. His voice warmed with a little excitement. "But right now, I want you to see that more than anything."

Once the three stepped inside the structure, they noticed it looked like a mix between a restaurant and a fantasy guild hall. There was a large kitchen in the back, a large center stage ,and many tables and chairs arranged across the floor, a huge cork board on the wall, and on another wall, a lone door that didn't seem to lead anywhere.

Vesta frowned and crossed her arms. "Okay… what's with the door?"

Tet smiled and motioned around the room. "This place will serve as a restaurant slash guild hall. And that door is linked to the multiverse. Worlds I own, worlds I've brought to life, or worlds that don't currently have a god. Once I activate it, people from other worlds will be able to come here for a meal."

He tapped the board next. "But more importantly, they can leave a request on the board. And then one of our familia members can handle that request. Depending on the difficulty of the request and customer satisfaction, I'll reward them with a weapon, armor, item, or skill."

Hestia raised a brow. "So you're giving our familia a way to get ahead of all the others?"

Tet placed his hands in his pockets and answered without hesitation, "The kids in the familia are my adopted children, right? What's wrong with a father showing favoritism? Besides, I'm doing the same for Apollo. Instead of a restaurant, he asked for a hospital. He's planning to bring his kids into his familia, and since some of them are healers…"

Tet folded his arms and said, "I'll be implementing something similar in Camp Half-Blood, which is going to remain very necessary, especially since Hermes, Apollo, and Ares are still… active."

Vesta blinked and asked, curiosity creeping into her voice, "What about newborn gods?"

Tet paused, thinking back to what Apollo had been up to recently, his expression turning thoughtful. "There might be some newborn gods in the near future."

He shook his head slightly and waved the thought away. "Anyway, that's all from me. Anything you two want to add?"

Vesta rested a finger on her chin and said, "We'll need cooks, waitresses, and a receptionist."

Hestia smiled confidently and said, "We can do the cooking. In fact, I'd prefer that. Tet, you can figure out the rest, right?"

Tet gave a short nod. "Yep."

"Great," Hestia said cheerfully. "Come on, Vesta, let's go plan a menu."

The two goddesses headed toward the kitchen together, already deep in discussion. As they disappeared, Tet snapped his fingers, and in a flash of light, a young woman with long blonde hair and gentle green eyes appeared nearby.

Tet smiled warmly and said, "Hey, Asia. Sorry for leaving you alone for so long."

Asia waved it off softly. "That's okay, Lord. Did you need something?"

"Yes," Tet said calmly. "I'd like you to join our familia."

Asia tilted her head in confusion, her expression uncertain, and Tet briefly explained what a familia was and how it worked.

"I see," Asia said after a moment, her hands clasping together. "I'm not sure about going into a dungeon and fighting monsters."

"That's alright," Tet replied reassuringly. "You can work here at the guild hall and run logistics until you feel more confident."

Asia thought it over, her eyes drifting around the area, before she smiled gently and said, "I think I'd like that, my lord."

"Okay," Tet said with a nod. "Go inside and have Hestia or Vesta perform the ritual."

Asia nodded, her smile brightening. "Thank you."

With that, she turned and walked into the guild hall.

Tiona, Tione, and Lefiya soon walked over together. Tiona spun in place, taking everything in with wide, shining eyes, and said, "This place is amazing. I can't believe I get my own house."

Tet let out a small chuckle and replied, "Privilege of being one of the first members of this familia. One that I really need to come up with a name for. I can't keep calling it this familia or the Tet-Hestia-Vesta familia. Oh well, decision for later. For now, let me explain a few things to you three."

Tet went over everything carefully, explaining how the guild hall worked, how requests from other worlds would function, and what rewards they could earn. By the time he finished, all three girls were staring at him with sparkling, excited eyes.

Tiona practically bounced on her heels and said, "So we do jobs for people in other worlds and get cool stuff for our trouble?"

"Yep," Tet said simply, smiling at their enthusiasm.

With excited laughs, the three girls bolted toward the guild hall, eager to explore every corner, while Tet watched them go, clearly amused.

(Authors Note: Ordinarily I prefer my chapters to be at least two thousand words but instead I'm using the last bit to go over a few things as the reaction to the chapter is bothering me a bit to much. Firstly let me just say the whole Nico and death thing was supposed to be a joke sorry to anyone that wanted it. Secondly Im making death his mentor nothing more I'm not ready to ship Nico yet. Thirdly do not worry their will be lots of chapters withLucifer messing around in the multiverse. Finally I'm on the fence with what to do with Scathach I could just have Tet reincarnate her normally but part of me wants to make her be reborn as Artemis first demigod let me know your thoughts in the comments.Ps. Tet's is not getting anymore women I added danmachi Hestia because I like her to much to not add her.)
