Chapter 122 - Chapter 110: Finally going to repay a favor

Tet sat at the table with Hestia and Vesta, leaning forward with a thoughtful look as he said, "So for our familia I've already added Vesta to the girls falna so now they've been adopted by three gods making them thrice blessed and I'm very curious about how that will affect their development."

Hestia waved a hand casually, confidence glowing in her eyes. "Oh I'm sure it'll be fine."

Vesta rested her cheek in her palm, grinning with a playful spark. "Yeah worst case we end up with the strongest familia ever which will be hilarious to rub in Loki's face especially since three of them used to be hers speaking of we should find more members."

Tet tapped the table with a small, excited smile. "I've got a few ideas on that front but for now our familia needs a base and I have lots of great ideas regarding that but Vesta I need permission to use your former home."

Vesta blinked in confusion and raised a brow. "Why do you want that rundown building."

Tet shrugged lightly, giving her a knowing look. "Not the building just the land but again it is surrounded on multiple side by a massive structure any idea who owns that."

Vesta thought for a moment, then snapped her fingers as memory clicked. "All the land in that area belongs to Hephaestus."

Tet let out a small hum of approval, pushing his chair back as he stood. "Okay guess I'll be visiting Hephaestus I'll see you both later."

As he turned to leave, Hestia's voice rang out warmly. "Wait darling."

He paused and looked back, only for his eyes to widen as both Hestia and Vesta leaned in at the same time and kissed him on the cheeks. They pulled back with bright, mischievous smiles and said in perfect unison, "See you when you get back darling."

Tet froze, a deep blush spreading across his face as the realization hit him. With a stunned expression and a flustered gulp, he teleported away to Orario in a flash of light.

------

Tet arrived outside the Hephaestus Familia and muttered to himself, "The hell was that?" His face still burned from earlier. He shook his head hard, smacked both cheeks, and forced his thoughts back into order. "I'll figure it out later. Right now I need to talk to Hephaestus."

With that, he marched straight into the building without knocking or asking permission, pushing straight through the doors.

Inside a large, regal-looking office, a beautiful woman sat behind a heavy desk. She had long crimson hair, one bright crimson eye, and an eyepatch covering the other. Her outfit was sharp: a long-sleeved white button-down shirt, black leather gloves, black leather pants, and brown leather boots. She looked up from her paperwork just in time to hear one of her familia members shout from the hallway, "Sir, you can't just walk in there, it's private property!"

A heartbeat later, the door flew open.

The intruder stepped inside with the confidence of someone who didn't care about rules. Hephaestus recognized him instantly, her lone eye widening.

"Well, if it isn't my world's new owner," she said dryly, leaning back slightly in her chair. "What can a humble god of the forge do for you this morning?"

Tet met her gaze calmly. "I want the land surrounding Hestia's house and all the buildings sitting on it."

Hephaestus blinked. "You're the supreme god. Can't you just take it from me?"

Tet shook his head firmly. "I'm not like that. I prefer to compensate people, and I'm usually pretty generous. So you can pretty much name what you want."

Hephaestus tapped her gloved finger against her chin, thinking it over. "That place is a warehouse for my familia as well as a backup forge. I'd hate to lose it..." She paused for a long moment before continuing. "But I'll give it up in exchange for access to rare metals that don't exist here. And word through the grapevine is that in the world you come from, gods have children. Is that true?"

Tet nodded. "Yes it is."

Hephaestus' eye softened, just a little. "Then I want to be able to visit mine with no restrictions."

Tet sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I relieved the other Hephaestus of duty for crimes he committed in the past, so it might not be a bad thing for you to be in their lives. I mean, you are technically their parent. But just so you're aware, I'm giving some of the gods in this world the ability to have children of their own."

Hephaestus folded her arms, nodding slowly. "I heard. And even if I am one of the gods in question, I still want to see my other self's children. Especially if they are no longer in the picture. I'll watch over them on my other self's behalf."

Tet let out another sigh. "Okay, but no taking off with any of them. If you want them in your familia, get their consent first."

Hephaestus chuckled under her breath. "That's reasonable."

Tet clapped his hands once. "Alright, now that that's done, pull out a map and show me any vacant plots of land you own."

Hephaestus reached into her desk, retrieved a worn map, and spread it out. She pointed to a large vacant lot near the edge of town.

Tet snapped his fingers. "There. That land now contains multiple mines that will generate new ore every thirty days. Each one contains a metal this world doesn't have: ebony, quicksilver, moonstone, orichalcum, and malachite."

Hephaestus raised an eyebrow. "Malachite is a gem."

Tet smirked. "Yes, but in the world I brought it from, they refined it into very strong and lethal weapons and sturdy armor. Do you want the refining methods for the metals?"

Hephaestus grinned behind her gloved hand. "Nope. Figuring out how to use new materials is half the fun."

Tet reached into his pocket and handed her a small key glowing faintly with divine energy. "This will open a portal to Camp Half-Blood's entrance. I'll inform Chiron about you."

Hephaestus smiled warmly for the first time. "Thank you."

Tet gave her a small nod. "You're welcome." With a soft flash of light, he teleported away.

------

Tet teleported to his next destination and found Ramiris wandering around with Milim and Rimuru. Rimuru brightened when he saw him and waved. "Oh hey, what's up, boss?"

Tet pointed straight at Ramiris. "I'm here for Ramiris. It's time we do some work."

Ramiris groaned dramatically, wings drooping. "Aw, do we have to? Can't it wait till after the festival?"

Tet's expression didn't budge. "Nope."

Before anyone could argue, he teleported all four of them into a large chamber lined with stone walls and floating lights. In the center hovered a massive holographic model of the dungeon, rotating slowly like an intricate toy. Tet clapped his hands. "Alright, let's get started."

---

Several hours later, Ramiris collapsed backwards onto a table, panting like she had run a marathon. "It's done. The deeper floors have stronger monsters, we've added fun traps, treasure chest loot drops, rest areas, and a resurrection system..."

Rimuru blinked in surprise, looking impressed. "Yeah, it's great. I didn't expect you to add a resurrection system."

Tet cocked an eyebrow. "Well, you were going to, weren't you?"

Rimuru rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Yeah, but I figured you'd consider that hand-holding."

Tet crossed his arms proudly. "I'm the god of games. The dungeon is now one of my games, and people dying in it isn't fun. Besides, they still technically die. They feel the pain from enemy attacks and still take real damage. It's just that a fatal blow sends them out of the dungeon fully revived and intact, and they lose everything they obtain inside from loot to experience. So it balances things out."

Rimuru nodded slowly as understanding dawned. "Ah, so there are still real consequences. They have to leave the dungeon safely if they want their stats to increase."

Tet snapped his fingers in agreement. "Exactly. Now, if you guys will excuse me, I've got a couple more things on my to-do list."

A shimmer of light wrapped around him, and he teleported away again.

-----

Tet arrived at Vesta's old home and looked around. "Alright, I've got tons of ideas, but first I should give Hephaestus her stuff."

With a wave of his hand, Tet created hundreds of glowing constructs. They marched into the warehouse like a well-drilled army, packing up every crate, tool, and piece of metal to send to Hephaestus. As they worked, Tet pulled up a shimmering display that showed the status of his Horsemen.

He tilted his head as the images shifted. "Okay, so Bill is relaxing with his girls... Summer is playing around at the festival with her family... and John is relaxing with his wife." A small smile appeared, but it faded when the next image flickered into view. "But Nico seems to be on a rampage." Tet frowned, tapping the projection as if it might explain itself. "I should check in on him. Part of me thinks he's bored, and another part of me thinks he's become intoxicated with Concept."

He sighed through his nose, thoughtful. "But if he has, it's okay. I know someone who can help." His fingers drummed against his thigh before he straightened. "In fact, why don't I put this project on autopilot and go handle that right now?"

He summoned another batch of constructs, these ones hefting stone blocks, metal frames, and architectural tools. They immediately began constructing the new familia base, moving with perfect precision. Satisfied, Tet gave them a final nod and vanished in a flicker of light, leaving to go find Nico

-----

Tet found Nico deep in an underground cavern beneath the town of Derry, the air thick with malice. Nico, still in his Death form, held Pennywise by the throat and casually disemboweled him before dropping the lifeless corpse to the floor like discarded trash.

Tet approached carefully, raising a brow. "Hey, Nico, you doing okay, buddy?"

Death turned toward him, shadows curling around his form before shrinking back into Nico. His breathing was steady, but his eyes were cold. "I'm fine. Just cleaning up some trash."

Tet folded his arms, his tone gentle but firm. "In a world I don't own, bud. You're in another god's turf right now. Lucky for you, you're stronger than him so he couldn't do anything about it, but it's still highly disrespectful. There's an order to these things."

Nico scowled and kicked Pennywise's corpse. "So what? They let this thing run around doing whatever it wants. I just took care of it for them."

Tet nodded slowly. "Yeah, you did. I'm not criticizing you. I'm saying you've been Death way more than Nico lately, and that power is supposed to be saved for way stronger enemies, not these small fry. I think your concept might be steering the ship instead of you."

Nico inhaled deeply, jaw tightening. "Maybe."

Tet rested a hand on his shoulder. "Come on, bud. I've got an errand to run in another multiverse. There's someone there I want you to talk to."

A moment later, he teleported the two of them away.

---

They arrived in a dark, Gothic-looking city illuminated only by cold streetlights and distant sirens. Tet spread his arms dramatically. "Welcome, my young friend... to Gotham City."

Nico blinked, startled. "Wait, like in Batman?"

Tet grinned. "Exactly like in Batman. Now all we gotta do is wait for a scream."

Right on cue, a scream echoed through the alleyways. They followed it to find a dead body sprawled on the pavement. A moment later, a beautiful woman materialized nearby, guiding the dead man's soul with practiced ease. She had long black hair, ink-dark eyes, and skin pale as moonlight. Her outfit was all shades of shadow: grey tank top, black jacket, black leather pants, black boots, dark lipstick, and darker eyeliner. She muttered under her breath about how often Gotham needed her.

Tet cupped his hands around his mouth. "Hey! Are you Death of the Endless?"

She turned, sizing him up with mild surprise. "I am. Who's asking?"

Recognition dawned on her face. "Oh, you're Tet, right? The Big Boss said you might drop in one day."

Her gaze slid to Nico and stopped dead. "Oh... aren't you something?"

Before Nico could react, she practically flew over, scooping him into her arms and hugging him against her chest. Nico flushed bright red. "Nico di Angelo, miss..."

She smiled warmly. "You feel like me. Go on, show me your true form."

Nico hesitated, then shifted into his Horseman form, the air around him rippling with a quiet cosmic chill.

Tet cleared his throat. "My Death is still young, and he's been having trouble keeping his concept from dictating his actions lately."

Death of the Endless traced her fingers along Nico's jaw thoughtfully. "Ah. I've had that happen myself in the past." She turned to Tet. "Leave him with me for a while. I'll mentor him and teach him how to be a proper Death."

Nico reverted back to normal and gave Tet a small nod. "Yeah. Tet, you can just pick me up later."

Tet smirked. "Well, if you're sure. You two have fun."

Death giggled softly. "Oh don't worry. We will."

-----

As Tet arrived at his destination, he said

"I really hope her feelings towards Nico are motherly, cause if not, I might have to step in. The kid might technically be like seventy, but that's still very young compared to someone who's only slightly younger than time itself."

He let out a slow breath, rubbing the back of his neck as that thought settled in. His eyes narrowed with a mix of worry and annoyance, like he was preparing for a headache he could already feel coming.

With that, he walked into a nightclub called Lux, and as he did, he said

"I hope Hestia doesn't find out I went to a place like this."

(Authors Note: I plan for Tet Hestia and Vesta's familia to be a big part of the story from now on so I decided to take care of a few other things before getting into it)
