Her eyes widened, and she furrowed her brows as if confused which he didn't fail to notice. In fact, he had been staring right into her eyes so he could understand what exactly was going on.
She blanked a couple of times to be sure she wasn't dreaming, but then did it really matter. Suddenly, a smirk was plastered on her cheek.
"So Phil's in love with me huh?" She thought to herself as if trying to weigh the odds. "Well this is interesting, isn't it? Maybe I can finally use this to my advantage. Afterall, he's the closest person to her. He's the one she needed to make things work out."
She hummed. "What are you trying to say?" She tried her best to smile, showing him she was kinda enjoying his conversation.
"I'm trying to say that I have been madly in love with you, but you might not really understand what I am trying to say. I love you from the depth of my heart."
Pamela nodded. "Are you sure about what you're saying? Like are you one hundred percent sure you love me?" She lifted her hair, and pushed it backwards, walking close to him, so close that he could touch her. However, he didn't. He was waiting for her to at least say something.
"Yes…' he swallowed. The sweat that was formed on his forehead showed how nervous he was even when he had shown so much boldness.
"Hmm, alright. I guess I'll think about it if you can show me reasons, but then are you willing to show me what I am willing to see?"
He nodded like a child being asked if he wanted candy. "Yes, you know I will."
Asena then ran her hands over his shoulders, causing him to lose focus almost for a second. "I actually need help, and maybe if you prove to me you can help me with what I want, I can accept your request."
"Really? Is that all?" His eyes widened in shock, probably because what I asked for was so simple. It was just so random.
"Yes that's all. That's all that I need you to know my love, I love you so much, and I couldn't keep it in."
She nodded. "Alright, I'll tell you what I need to help me with some other time. For now, you can't know."
He smirked, handing her the bouquet which she collected without hesitation. She could see the happiness in his eyes, the way his heart drummed, and leaped with happiness.
"Thank you so much. I'll be taking my leave now," he announced before he walked out of her room, leaving her alone.
"Well, well, well, maybe the moon goddess is finally giving me a chance to execute my plan, and I'll do that slowly. They wouldn't know what hit them."
The next day came rather quickly, and since there was really nothing to do, Asena decided to take a walk within the pack house. As she did, she noticed Pamela's picture, the body of the person she was embodying.
Her eyes stared at the pictures on the wall for a long time, creased lines appearing on her forehead. Her eyes were squinted as she observed, and for some reason, images appeared before her eyes.
"What are these?" She asked, trying her best to understand what she was going, but then she slowly started to feel dizzy.
Thankfully, she was still really close to her room, her eyes were slightly opened, and she leaned against the wall, using it as a ledge to walk to her room.
How she managed to get to the bed was history for her, but she sat there, so many images playing on her head.
She saw one with Pamela smiling, and running round the fields, such a happy girl, but then she didn't understand why it was being shown to her.
Soon, the memory made her really tired. She didn't know what was reality, and only lived within what played on her mind
Well, it took a lot for that to happen. She was also trying her best to know what was going on, but there were no answers.
Just then she was jolted back to
Reality, breathing hard as though something bad had actually happened. She turned towards her side, and noticed the maid standing there. Her maid had a worried expression on her face which caused Asena to frown.
"How did you get in here, what happened?" She asked, but the maid touched her.
"I should be asking you. I saw you seated with your eyes shut. I had to come into your room because you weren't answering the constant knocks. I had been hitting against your door, and I had to come in to check up on you, I'm sorry if i–"
"No you didn't do anything wrong. I'm sorry for yelling," she expressed, getting up on her feet.
"Why are you even here?" To Asena, whatever had happened was still a mystery to her, and she was trying so hard to forget whatever it was.
"Well, I'm here because you have been summoned for a meeting downstairs, and I was asked to invite you downstairs."
Asena nodded. She wondered what the meeting was about, but then quickly recalled she was Luna, and she was the one in charge now.
"Alright I'll be right there," she expressed, and the maid bowed before leaving the place.
She pondered for a while, staring at herself in the mirror before walking out of her room, and towards the stairs. She needed to attend the meeting downstairs even when she wasn't so prepared. However, upon reaching there, she was met with her brother, and mother.
She paused, slowing her steps as she observed their expression. Maybe it was a family meeting because aside from her brother, and mother, there was no one else there.
"We know…" her brother expressed, making her a bit stiff. Do they already know who she was, had they tried to find out she wasn't Pamela?
