Chapter 112 - Chapter 113 – The Lamp God’s Nonsense

The Lamp God said that the world the demon currently inhabited might not be the real Shinobi World at all—but rather… a parallel world.

As for the origins of this parallel world, it's possible that it came into being naturally, but the odds of that happening are extremely low.

A far more likely explanation is that it was caused by the Rinnegan.

Just like how every pair of Mangekyō Sharingan possesses unique ocular techniques, each Rinnegan has its own distinct power—like Uchiha Madara's Limbo, Uchiha Sasuke's Amenotejikara, and Kaguya's Amenominaka.

So, what ability does the Sage of Six Paths' Rinnegan possess?

Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki once demonstrated the ability to freeze time, proving that the Rinnegan can indeed manipulate time itself.

—If the Sage of Six Paths' ocular technique is the power to manipulate timelines, then a lot of things begin to make sense.

Why, knowing that Kaguya's enemies could descend upon the world at any moment, did the Sage of Six Paths still waste time promoting peace across the Shinobi World?

Because he was fearless.

He yearned for peace, yet didn't know what path would truly lead there. So, he awakened this timeline-splitting ocular technique.

He created world after world—parallel timelines to serve as experimental models—allowing them to evolve freely while he observed which conditions might lead to lasting peace.

That's why, despite being a devout believer in peace, he allowed the Shinobi World to fall into endless wars and chaos—because those were merely discarded timelines.

Occasionally, outsiders would stumble into these parallel worlds he created. The Sage of Six Paths welcomed this, as the collision between the ideologies of transmigrators and the local shinobi often sparked new and fascinating ideas.

Perhaps, when Sargatanas first descended into the Shinobi World, it really was the original. But because of the effects of the Concealment Authority, the Sage of Six Paths couldn't perceive him. Not knowing what changes had occurred, the world spiraled into disarray. So the Sage activated his ocular technique, splintering the timeline—turning this world into an abandoned one, a discarded timeline left for the demon to mess with as he pleased.

Maybe this was also how the Sage dealt with the extraterrestrial Ōtsutsuki clan—trapping them in parallel worlds so they could never reach the real Shinobi World.

A discarded timeline is like a reborn person's "previous life"—everything happened, yet none of it truly existed.

Perhaps the Sage's ocular technique isn't that overpowered; maybe he can't tear timelines apart, only reset them. In that case, the world Sargatanas is destroying would just be a rewritten save file. Think of it like Izanagi—even a three-tomoe Sharingan can rewrite reality into illusion, so would it really be too much for a Rinnegan to reboot an entire world?

If all this speculation is correct… then what happens to the souls devoured by the demon? Would they vanish the moment he leaves this plane?

He didn't know. But he wasn't about to gamble on it.

The Lamp God, true to his reputation as a professional trap-layer, didn't give him any clear "solution"—he just offered multiple-choice questions.

After dropping the theory of the Rinnegan splitting timelines, the Lamp God introduced a second hypothesis—Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Is it possible… that Infinite Tsukuyomi has already been activated, and this so-called Shinobi World is nothing but someone's dream?

There's evidence for this theory, especially if you look at the inconsistencies in Naruto's backstory. In the early plot, it really seemed like he was the embodiment of the Nine-Tails, but later he randomly turned into the Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki and the son of the Fourth Hokage.

But if Naruto was the Jinchūriki all along, the information should've been hidden—yet everyone treated him as a known Nine-Tails monster. That contradicts the logic of hiding his true parentage as the Fourth's son.

Maybe… Naruto is just a dream crafted within the Infinite Tsukuyomi world—an escapist fantasy conjured by a marginalized orphan. A worthless loser dreaming that he had noble blood, a dramatic past, and would ultimately rise to become the center of the world—humiliating the arrogant rich boy (Sasuke), outshining the indifferent girl (Sakura), and marrying the rich and loyal beauty who worships him (Hinata). The ultimate rags-to-riches fantasy.

That would explain why the plot sometimes seems dumbed-down—like everything's contrived just to favor Naruto.

Because this is his dream.

But over time, the dream blurred into reality, evolving into an independent parallel world that could continue existing even without Naruto.

Didn't Obito once create a limited Tsukuyomi? That dream world didn't belong to any specific person. It was just a mirror opposite of reality.

If someone cast Infinite Tsukuyomi inside that dream, then nested dreams upon dreams could form an entire plane of existence like this one.

The Lamp God's second theory sounded pretty absurd, but Sargatanas couldn't completely refute it.

What else could he expect? That damned Lamp was always shady.

And you thought it ended at two options?

Wrong. There was a third.

The Lamp God said Sargatanas might've been manipulated long before all this even started.

Otherwise, how could it be that, before descending into the Shinobi World, he just happened to acquire a manga that included all the key storylines?

What if that manga was just bait thrown out by some hidden force?

Concealment isn't omnipotent. Its direct counter is Omniscience—its natural enemy.

And that manga? It was told from an omniscient perspective of the Shinobi World!

So yeah… Every time Sargatanas used that damn lamp, it somehow caused more problems. Now he was just left speechless. He couldn't fully believe what the Lamp God was saying—but he also couldn't ignore it.

The Lamp God kept insisting that every one of the theories he presented was true. A higher-dimensional force was interfering, so he couldn't reveal too much. There were too many interests involved. The water was deep. Unless Sargatanas kept tossing in sacrificial offerings to make more wishes, there was no such thing as a freebie!

Sargatanas simply ignored the rest of the Lamp God's rambling. He'd already extracted the key information from all that nonsense.

And when it came to "parallel worlds" and "timelines," there really was a relevant place—the Dragon Vein.

Aside from that, Karasuki could also traverse time and space.

(T/N: Karasuki is a turtle-like artefact belonging to the Ōtsutsuki clan.)

From his perch on the moon, he looked toward the distant planet. Its once-blue surface had turned completely pink. Sargatanas put the lamp away, then possessed Ōtsutsuki Toneri's body again, using the portal to return to the Shinobi World.

The entire planet had become desolate, lifeless, and barren. Only the Land of Earth retained a patch of land still suitable for life. As expected, Ōnoki hadn't abandoned his ambitions, treating the remaining humans as...
