Chapter 106 - Lonely Palace, The Creator's Room Land Part 10

Luna opened the book sitting by the last door at the end of the corridor. The door was slashed with marks resembling those of a knife, but she ignored this sign just to read the diary notes she had collected.

With a genuine smile on her face, she opened to the third page and started reading aloud.

Back in the Lockheart Palace, Aisha closed the door to Luna's room. With her face red to the brim, she walked down the finely decorated corridor on a red carpet.

"W-what am I g-going to do?" Aisha mumbled to herself.

"My lady called me 'Her most important p-person'. H-how am I going to face her ever again?" Aisha gushed as she buried her face into her palms.

"How can she call me that, considering how much she loved her mother, her father, and her brothers? W-what am I going to do now? I-if they hear what My lady told me, I'll be locked up for monopolizing Luna." Aisha's words were hushed by her palms. Her face rose and she looked at the door she had come through, adding, "Ah, I shouldn't say her name carelessly."

"I forgot to ask what tea My lady wants," she muttered while walking back. She knocked three times and awaited a response, but was met with silence.

Her hands became sweaty as her heartbeat rose. Swallowing her saliva, she slowly opened the door and peeked in, saying, "My Lady?"

But the room was empty. Luna was gone, nowhere to be seen. The window to the balcony was open, the wind gliding across the curtains.

Oh, young master took Our Lady again. He should at least notify us when he does that, Aisha thought with a sigh, adding, And here I was worried for her. I need to complain to the headmaid. I almost got a heart attack again…

Aisha closed the door and left, walking down the corridor and sulking over not being able to ask what tea Luna wanted.

Luna opened the diary, cleared her throat, and began to read the contents of the third page aloud.

"Day 38? Ah, I missed so much," Luna sighed.

"It's strange. Dad hasn't come in ten days. It's probably because he's so busy!" Luna raised her eyebrows as she continued.

"The creation really is chaotic these days! He sent my brothers and sister down there to help with it. I cannot wait for them to come back! It's really lonely here alone. Such a big place, but all I have is me. No one. It's sad." Luna frowned in sadness as she read.

"But Father is so wonderful that I can endure it! I'll keep drinking my tea from my favourite cup in my arbor! Of course, the cup that Father painted with white lilies!"

Luna turned the page. White lilies? she thought. I've seen many lilies here. It seems like I had forgotten something really important. She pondered this but shook her head and continued reading.

"She really must have loved white lilies," Luna said with a warm smile.

"Day 88, Father is really busy."

This really must be rough, but fifty-five days isn't really that much… but oh well, what do I know? She really must have loved her father. Luna smiled, remembering her own dad's face. She shook her head again and turned the page.

"Day 126, Father must be really busy." Luna read and turned to the next page.

"Day 289, Why? Did I do something wrong? Father, did I say anything wrong? Please forgive me. I'll be better. I'll stop being so greedy for you, please just come see me."

Luna exhaled with a sad tone. She looked at the page longingly, feeling truly sad for the girl. Why do there exist such fathers who abandon their own children? I don't understand that. With that thought, she stood up and looked at the slashed door.

Hmmm, four doors, four children, and the last door, a parent? Hmmmm, might be.

"Well, let's see what's inside." Luna reached for the handle with a sad look on her face, pushed the door open, and the hinges groaned as it slowly revealed what was inside.

The room was pure dark, holding nothing but a single wooden chair. Upon it, a doll stood out like a sore thumb.

She was beautiful, with pure white skin, red round but sharpy eyes, and long silky white hair. A blue, weightless dress fell to her ankles, its sleeves down to her wrists. Two daggers were strapped to her waist.

Luna swallowed and stepped inside. The doors closed behind her, leaving the corridor empty as it always was with her inside.
