"Shall I assist you to the car, Madam Lu?" she asked politely as Lu Zhi Hao received the ginger water and gave her to drink.
It wasn't alot, just two sips and it was done. They passed the glass back to her.
Lu Zhi Hao shook his head with a soft but firm smile. "I have got her. Thank you."
He turned back to Wan Ruyi, scooping her up into his arms once again, as if she were too precious to walk on her own. Cradled against him, she leaned her head to his chest, still holding the ultrasound photos close to her heart.
They exited the suite and made their way down the corridor, the nurse accompanying them quietly to the elevator. The descent to the lobby was smooth and silent, the only sound being the faint hum of the elevator and the rustle of Wan Ruyi's clothes as she shifted slightly in his arms.
