Chapter 224 - Kanata Toutokubara

Chapter 224 - Kanata Toutokubara

At the door of the restaurant, a tall and slender woman walked in slowly with elegant steps.

The customers fleeing the conflict between Roy and Kuraudo instinctively parted for her.

She looked like a refined lady from a prestigious family. She was dressed in a pristine white dress and white lace gloves, leaving almost no skin exposed.

Even though it was evening, she wore a wide brimmed hat and carried a parasol, keeping her face hidden in the shadows.

From Roy's angle, he could only see smooth, long hair cascading over her chest. Her presence exuded the poise of a princess.

"You two... would you be so kind as to stop here?" the girl asked. Her voice was melodious and dignified, carrying the weight of high nobility.

"Who the hell are you, woman?! It's nearly night and you're carrying a parasol! Is there something wrong with your head?"

Kuraudo stared at her intently but didn't speak. However, one of his lackeys jumped out, shouting at her in frustration. "Mind your own business and get lost, or we'll beat you up too!" The thug put on a fierce look, trying to intimidate her.

"Hehehe..."

The girl didn't seem afraid at all. Instead, she let out a low, soft laugh that sounded chillingly out of place.

"I'm truly sorry, but I cannot simply leave. After all, this area is under the jurisdiction of Hagun Academy. As a member of the Hagun Student Council, I have an obligation to maintain order here."

Her voice remained pleasant, but it now carried a cold, sharp warning.

"What does the Hagun Student Council have to do with us? You think you can manage the affairs of Donrou Academy? I'll—"

The thug was only halfway through his sentence when his companion reached over and clamped a hand tightly over his mouth.

"Shut up! Don't drag us down with you if you want to die!" the other thug whispered in horror. "That's... that's the Crimson Lady from Hagun Academy!"

In an instant, the group of thugs fell silent. They watched the girl closely, some of them visibly trembling.

Roy glanced at her with interest; his perception picked up an overwhelming scent of blood and iron clinging to her, as if she were a warrior who had just returned from a massacre.

The Crimson Lady... a fitting nickname, Roy thought.

"The Crimson Lady?" Kuraudo grinned ferociously. He turned his gaze toward her. "What a day. I keep running into monsters."

The Crimson Lady, whose real name was Kanata Toutokubara, was the Rank B student knight of Hagun Academy. Her strength was so immense that even Kuraudo knew a victory against her wasn't guaranteed.

"Greetings, Sword Eater of Donrou Academy. Could you please stop this for my sake?" She tilted her parasol slightly, revealing a glimpse of her beautiful face.

"It's rare for me to find an opponent who actually seems decent!" Kuraudo sneered, clearly unwilling to let the matter go.

"That really is a problem. In that case, I suppose we'll just have to suppress you together."

The one who spoke this time wasn't Kanata, but a boy who looked less than 1.5 meters tall.

He had messy hair and golden eyes that looked slightly dim. His petite frame made him look like a kindergartner, yet he wore a sunny smile as he stared at Kuraudo.

"The Student Council Vice President!" Ayase gasped in surprise.

This was Utakata Misogi. In a school built on extraordinary power, the person serving as the Vice President was naturally a monster in his own right.

"Tch!" Kuraudo clicked his tongue in displeasure. Feeling the immense pressure emanating from two people who were both on his level, his smile finally vanished.

"How boring..." His expression became one of utter apathy, and his Device, Orochimaru, vanished into thin air.

As arrogant as he was, Kuraudo was a realist. Facing both Kanata Toutokubara and Utakata Misogi meant he had zero chance of winning. He loved a fight, but he had no interest in being a punching bag.

"Let's go. We'll eat somewhere else," Kuraudo barked, waving his hand for his lackeys to follow him out. Before stepping through the door, he turned back to glance at Roy.

"Roy Flott, right? I'll remember you. Sooner or later, I'll finish what we started today! Don't even think about running. As long as you're in this city, I will find you."
