Chapter 241 - Chapter 241: At Best, Just a Bunch of Moving Targets!

Leo was a director at the BND, and the mission to capture Kaitō Kid had been assigned to him.

He'd been keeping an eye on this master thief for quite a while and had a decent grasp of what he was up against.

Leo wasn't afraid—in fact, he was fired up and fully prepared.

"Kaitō Kid, let's see what you're really capable of!"

A little after one in the afternoon, Zhang Yang drove up and parked on the side of the road.

"Country D wants to take the lead with speed so they can control the tempo!"

"By now, the museum's gotta be locked down tight!"

Even though there was a road between them, Zhang Yang could clearly see what was going on inside the museum.

At the front entrance, not a single soul was coming or going—not even pedestrians passing by.

Zhang Yang tweaked the style and color of his monocle, then used Advanced Disguise Technique to turn into a bearded man in his thirties. He got out of the car and walked toward the museum gate.

The museum was already closed, but if he didn't make a little noise, there was no way the key players would show up.

As expected, when the guards noticed how directly Zhang Yang was approaching, a few agents quickly came out of the museum and stopped him.

"Stop! The museum is closed. We're running a special operation. The BND has taken over. No unauthorized personnel allowed near the building!"

Zhang Yang, wearing his monocle, scanned their faces and instantly pulled up their ID info.

The highest-ranking among them was only a squad leader in the BND.

"Sorry, I'm here to shoot some footage for your museum. I'm flying out of Country D tonight. I just need a few quick shots, that's all."

The squad leader shut him down right away.

"No way. Not only can't you enter—you can't even come close!"

"Try another time!"

As he spoke, the agents moved in to push Zhang Yang away.

During the brief scuffle, Leo came out with a stern face.

"What's going on?"

Zhang Yang quickly looked up and repeated his story.

After hearing it, Leo barked angrily, "No chance!"

"The museum is under BND control. No one is allowed near. Leave immediately!"

Zhang Yang's monocle had already identified Leo—Director of BND's special agents and commanding officer for this operation.

'So he's my opponent in Country D.'

Once he saw Leo, Zhang Yang had a pretty clear picture of how things were set up.

In other countries, the people in charge of this kind of mission were probably at the same level.

Now that he had what he came for, Zhang Yang didn't argue. He turned around and got back in his car.

But right after he did, more people started gathering in front of the museum.

Some were media crews, and others were local fans.

Since the warning letter had clearly stated the location, they had rushed over the moment they caught wind of any Kaitō Kid activity.

[The museum has shut down early! BND has officially taken over!]

[Victor from France was useless—look at how fast our BND responds!]

[This is BND's first time dealing with Kaitō Kid. I doubt they'll catch him!]

[Oh my god! BND moves fast, you never know—they might pull it off!]

[WTF? BND doesn't stand a chance. Stop dreaming already!]

The crowd in front of the museum kept growing all afternoon, and soon enough, Leo was fully exposed to the public.

Leo was well-known across Country D—he was one of the strongest agents in the entire BND.

His reputation in Country D was on par with Bruce, the top agent of the Eagle Nation.

Once people realized Leo was on-site, the crowd instantly erupted in excitement and gasps.

[Oh my god, it's Director Leo! Country D is really taking Kaitō Kid seriously!]

[Kaitō Kid has already thrown several countries into chaos—of course they're taking him seriously!]

[This time he's met his match. Director Leo once took down a terrorist organization alone—his combat skills are terrifying!]

[Has Kaitō Kid relied on brute force to get through all these countries?]

[There's an old saying in Dragon Nation: 'Bravery without brains makes a reckless fool.' Let's see him show up first before we talk!]

The crowd buzzed with debate. As the sun set, night finally fell.

Zhang Yang took a deep breath, his gaze sharp and focused.

"Harrison and Bruce don't seem to be here. And I haven't spotted Holmeska either."

"Are they sitting this one out?"

He hadn't gotten any solid info on Harrison or Bruce yet. After all this time watching, not a single familiar face had appeared.

As night fully settled in, Zhang Yang got ready to act. Right then, several agents rushed out of the museum and launched four surveillance drones.

Country D's manufacturing tech was top-notch. These four drones didn't just stream ultra-clear video—they also had night vision and thermal imaging.

Zhang Yang hadn't expected them to rely this heavily on tech.

But right after the drones took off, Zhang Yang didn't hesitate. He made his move quietly and without any sign.

A red playing card sliced through the night sky in a sharp arc, nearly splitting the drone in two as it lifted off.

"At best, they're just a few moving targets."

Zhang Yang chuckled to himself. The drones were impressive, but in his eyes, they had zero defense.

The first drone crashed down not long after takeoff—nearly hitting people in the crowd.

The card had flown so fast in the dark that no one even saw what hit the drone.

Still, the damage was obvious. Anyone could tell the drone had been deliberately taken out.

[Oh my god! What just happened?!]

[It just took off and already crashed—Kaitō Kid's here!]

[WTF?! Where is he?!]

[It has to be Kaitō Kid! The drone was almost sliced in half—did he really do that with a playing card?!]

[Shit! That's insane! His cards are actually that deadly?!]

The crowd was in an uproar. Heads were bobbing around like crazy, everyone trying to catch sight of Kaitō Kid.

Then another drone suddenly crashed from the sky.

Once again, no one saw the card or where it came from.

Inside the museum, Leo immediately got a report from his agents.

"Director Leo! The drones have been attacked—two down already!"

"We haven't spotted Kaitō Kid yet, but we suspect he's here—close by!"

Hearing this, Leo rushed outside.

Just as he stepped out, Zhang Yang flicked another card—right in front of him.

In the night sky, a drone spun wildly out of control and plummeted to the ground.

Leo's face went stiff. He picked up the wreckage and saw deep, clean cuts—nearly sliced straight through.

"Damn it! Kaitō Kid's playing cards really are that dangerous. This was definitely done with a card!"

He looked up toward the crowd. Countless eyes were now fixed on him, and the atmosphere began to shift.
