Chapter 174 - Chapter 174: Rescue Ends

"Master Sebastian, Glare Light can control the power of light itself. Different colors of light grant her different abilities. Although each individual ability is not the absolute strongest, they become extremely difficult to deal with when combined together.

Among the abilities I know of so far, blue light is used for detection and tracking, red light causes explosions and destruction, green light provides healing and recovery, and yellow light creates defensive barriers. It is said that she also possesses the ability of purple light, but I have never seen it used before, so I do not know what kind of power that particular color grants her.

As for Dragon, he has an incredibly strong physique that can withstand tremendous damage, possesses super self-healing abilities that allow him to recover from serious wounds, and can spit out high-temperature flames from his mouth that can melt through metal. Do not let the simplicity of his abilities fool you. Dragon's powers are exceptionally formidable, and even facing a single one of his abilities cannot be dealt with easily."

"Thank you for the information, I understand the situation now! You step back first and leave this to me!"

After speaking these words, Sebastian stretched out his hand and gently pushed Silver Eyes' shoulder. Silver Eyes' body immediately transformed into a twisted vortex and disappeared from beside Sebastian, being sent to a safe location away from the coming battle.

At this moment, Sebastian looked directly at Glare Light and Dragon standing before him and said with calm confidence, "I am in a hurry to finish this mission. You two can come at me together if you wish!"

"Arrogant fool!"

Hearing Sebastian's dismissive words, Dragon roared furiously and immediately unleashed a torrent of fiery flames from his mouth.

The flames rapidly expanded and spread through the corridor, quickly filling the entire passage with intense heat and fire.

Sebastian looked at the incoming flames without concern, raised his wand calmly, and with a slight wave of his hand, the flames immediately rushed toward Sebastian's wand like birds returning to the forest, disappearing into thin air as if they had never existed.

However, just as the flames were completely extinguished, Dragon's massive body appeared directly before Sebastian with surprising speed, raising its sharp claws covered with jet-black scales that gleamed like polished obsidian and grabbing directly at Sebastian's throat.

"Die, human scum!"

Under the descending claws, Dragon suddenly saw Sebastian gently wave his wand with an almost lazy motion. The next moment, he felt a sudden inexplicable chill on his neck, and soon found his vision spinning wildly through the air. With the sickening impact against the metal floor, Dragon suddenly saw his own body standing there, now completely headless!

Splash!

A massive amount of blood spurted out from the severed neck like a fountain. Dragon's head had been cleanly severed by Sebastian's Sectumsempra curse, and he died before he could even register what had happened.

Unless one's body was truly fortified beyond normal limits, the Sectumsempra curse, which was capable of leaving deep cuts in vibranium and adamantium alike, was simply not something that ordinary flesh could withstand no matter how enhanced.

Dragon's swift and decisive death left Glare Light with a profound shock that shook her to her core. She stared at Sebastian in complete disbelief, and a yellow light immediately emanated from her entire body in response to her fear. This light continuously poured out from her, transforming into a spherical shield that completely enveloped Glare Light's body in protective energy.

Yellow light, a defensive power just as Silver Eyes had said.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Dark green light shot out from the tip of Sebastian's wand, striking directly against the yellow light barrier in front of Glare Light, gradually eroding and eating away at the yellow shield with relentless force.

Glare Light had a terrible premonition that when the dark green light completely engulfed her shield and broke through, it would be her death arriving!

Glare Light did not want to die here in this meaningless battle. She had chosen to serve Maximus specifically because she preferred living in a high position and becoming a superior being among her people. Therefore, she decisively gave up all her efforts for Maximus and the Kree Empire, choosing instead to utilize a power she had never used before in desperation.

A brilliant flash of purple light erupted from her body, and Glare Light's physical form instantly disintegrated into its most primitive particles that scattered through the air. As the purple light spread outward in waves, she quickly disappeared completely from Sebastian's sight, her particles passing effortlessly through the battleship's walls and escaping toward Earth below.

Watching Glare Light's hasty departure, Sebastian raised an eyebrow slightly in mild interest. For a moment, he could not fully comprehend the exact nature of Glare Light's purple light ability and how it functioned, but at the moment, such matters were merely minor details that did not warrant deep investigation, so Sebastian did not pay much attention to it. With a flick of his left hand, Silver Eyes transformed into a twisted vortex and appeared beside Sebastian once again, quickly grabbing onto his shoulder for support.

Silver Eyes looked down at Dragon's headless corpse lying on the ground in a pool of blood and noted the vanished Glare Light who had fled. He did not ask any unnecessary questions about what had happened, but simply swallowed nervously and said to Sebastian with urgency: "Master Sebastian, there are only approximately a hundred or so innocent captives left in the core area of the ship. As long as we rescue them successfully, we will be finished with this mission.

However, they are surrounded by a large number of Kree soldiers who are on high alert, so rescuing them may not be as easy as the previous groups."

"There are only a hundred people left here, correct?"

"Yes! There are indeed only a hundred left in this location."

"What about Medusa and her group? Did not Maximus go looking for them specifically? How are they faring now?"

"They are fighting as we speak. Other heroes have rushed to that location and are joining forces with Master Medusa and the others to deal with Maximus and his rebels together."

Sebastian nodded in acknowledgment, thought carefully for a moment weighing his options, and decided not to join in that particular battle since they seemed to have sufficient numbers. Grabbing Silver Eyes' shoulder firmly, he transformed into black smoke once again and traveled instantly, arriving at the spacious central hall where the last hundred or so innocent Inhuman captives were being held under guard.

When Sebastian arrived with Silver Eyes materializing from the smoke, they immediately saw the Kree soldiers standing on full alert with weapons ready.

Seeing Sebastian approach confidently, the soldiers immediately raised their energy weapons and pointed them directly at him and Silver Eyes with hostile intent. Some of the soldiers even redirected their guns to point at the innocent Inhuman civilians huddled together, their silent threats quite evident to everyone present.

At this moment, a Kree soldier who was clearly an officer based on his uniform stepped forward and used a simultaneous translation device, switching the output to English so he could be understood.

"Human intruder, surrender immediately, or we will execute these prisoners without hesitation!"

Sebastian listened to the threat but did not immediately respond to the officer's demand. Instead, he calmly surveyed the entire situation before him and counted the soldiers aloud, "One, two, three... thirteen, fourteen, only fourteen soldiers in total. Are you overconfident in your abilities, or are you severely underestimating us? These are your last remaining captives as leverage, yet you only sent fourteen guards to protect them?"

"Last remaining captives?"

Hearing this unexpected revelation, the Kree officer was visibly startled by the implications and was about to give the order to attack, but at that precise moment, Sebastian's left hand suddenly raised into the air, and the overwhelming power of the Space Stone unleashed from within him, instantly binding all fourteen soldiers completely to their spots and rendering them unable to move even a muscle.

At this moment, Sebastian waved his wand with practiced ease, opening five large portals that shimmered with mystical energy. With Silver Eyes' quick explanation to the frightened captives about what was happening, the Inhumans immediately stood up from where they had been cowering and ran desperately towards the portals, scrambling over each other in their haste to escape to freedom and safety.

After every single person had passed through and left the battleship, Sebastian waved his wand once again, methodically collecting the souls of all fourteen Kree soldiers for his own purposes, then summoned flames that burned their bodies to ash and left no trace. With Silver Eyes accompanying him, he returned to where Medusa and the others were fighting.

Looking at the devastated ground that was torn up from the battle and at the visibly exhausted Medusa, Steve, and the other heroes who were breathing heavily, Sebastian asked directly without preamble, "All the innocent Inhuman captives have been successfully taken away to safety. We can leave this ship now whenever you are ready. How are things here with Maximus?"

"Maximus managed to escape with two of his most loyal followers, but we managed to capture and restrain one of them who could not keep up."

Steve had barely finished speaking his report when Pietro, who was carrying an exhausted Wanda in his arms, arrived at Sebastian's side moving at superhuman speed.

Seeing that Wanda was unharmed aside from fatigue, Sebastian nodded with relief, though he deliberately ignored Pietro's visibly bleeding arm that was dripping blood. He opened a large portal back to the surface and said with authority, "Alright everyone, get out of here as soon as possible. I think Carol and Black Bolt are about to reach their limits and collapse from exhaustion."

As Sebastian finished speaking his warning, additional portals appeared in front of those heroes who had not yet arrived at the gathering point. Without any hesitation whatsoever, everyone immediately stepped through the portals and returned safely to the surface of the Earth.
