Chapter 173 - Chapter 173: Silver Eyes

Sebastian looked at the fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy standing before him. If he was not lying, then his ability would be a perfect fit for what Sebastian needed. But before that, Sebastian had to determine whether he was innocent or a rebel working against them!

"Do not resist. It might be a little uncomfortable, but it will not hurt you!"

Looking at Sebastian's raised wand, the boy took a deep breath swallowing nervously from the fear but nodded nonetheless and stood completely still, though he could not hide his anxiousness.

"Legilimency!"

Sebastian adjusted the intensity of the magic, carefully searching only through the memories without invading the brain or damaging the soul in any way.

Sensing the boy's thoughts and reviewing his past, Sebastian lowered his wand and nodded slowly with satisfaction. This young man called Silver Eyes had not lied to him. He truly possessed this remarkable ability, and he was indeed not a rebel who had sided with Maximus.

In addition, Sebastian discovered something quite interesting: this young fellow named Silver Eyes also possessed a natural talent for learning his particular branch of magic, and his aptitude was extremely impressive by any measure. Apparently, because he had been living on Attilan on the moon all this time, Sebastian's crows had been unable to locate him before. Now that he was on Earth, Sebastian was seriously considering enrolling him in the school, thus establishing a valuable connection with the Inhumans.

After opening a portal and sending the other Inhumans away to safety, Sebastian looked at Silver Eyes with a measuring gaze and said, "Come with me!"

Reaching out and grasping Silver Eyes' shoulder firmly, Sebastian quickly departed with him, both of them transforming into a swirl of black smoke that dissipated into the air.

With Silver Eyes' help, Sebastian's speed in rescuing innocent Inhumans grew faster and faster with each successful rescue. After saving approximately the eighth batch of innocent Inhumans, all the innocent captives in this particular area had been successfully rescued.

"Silver Eyes, is there anyone else remaining in this area?"

Hearing Sebastian's words, Silver Eyes' eyes began to shine with a faint silver light that illuminated his young face. He looked up toward the ceiling, then down toward the floor, then all around in every direction, before finally shaking his head with certainty. "Master Sebastian, you have already rescued all the innocent Inhumans in this area. As for those farther out in other sections, they are being rescued by the other masters as well. There are not many left now."

"Alright, show me where those remaining ones are located!"

Under Silver Eyes' guidance and direction, Sebastian apparated back and forth across the massive warship, evacuating wave after wave of innocent Inhumans to safety.

At this moment, the Kree commanders, who had been concentrating all their efforts on dealing with Black Bolt and Carol outside, finally sensed something was severely amiss. They watched the surveillance footage showing completely empty detention cells where captives had been moments before and saw Steve and Sam, who had just rescued another group of innocent Inhumans from their holding area. Yon-Rogg turned his head sharply to look at Maximus, who stood silently behind him.

"Maximus, take your men and eliminate these intruders immediately. I trust you can handle such a simple task without failure?"

"Of course. We will eliminate them as soon as possible and restore order!"

With that decisive statement, Maximus immediately turned and left the command center with the five people around him following closely.

These five were powerful Inhumans Maximus had discovered among the population of Attilan over time. Their abilities were comparable to those of the Royal Family members, but because they were at the very bottom of Attilan's rigid caste system, they were constantly ridiculed and belittled by others. Despite possessing immense power that could rival royalty, they were forced to bow and kowtow to the powerless upper castes who looked down on them. Their resentment and anger had long been simmering beneath the surface, and Maximus was the one who finally channeled it into action.

Maximus promised that if he gained control of the Inhumans and overthrew his brother, he would elevate their status to the pinnacle of Inhuman society where they belonged. Without hesitation or second thought, they joined Maximus's rebellion, fighting fiercely and suppressing other Inhumans who stood in their way.

"Glare Light, find them now!"

A female Inhuman behind Maximus, upon hearing his commanding tone, immediately began to glow with an intense blue light that radiated from her entire body. This light rapidly spread outward, filling the entire battleship in the blink of an eye, locating every living creature within the massive vessel and distinguishing the exact positions of the Kree, Inhumans, and humans scattered throughout!

"I have locked onto them all... But, Maximus, I have spotted Silver Eyes among them. He is working together with a human who possesses strange powers. It seems he has joined the humans and Black Bolt's side!"

Silver Eyes's abilities were unique in reconnaissance and detection, making him the strongest scout among all the Inhumans—a fact Maximus knew all too well from experience.

Crucially, Silver Eyes himself was a member of the lowest caste of Inhumans, born into the same circumstances as the others. Maximus had originally wanted to recruit Silver Eyes into his ranks personally, but the boy stubbornly refused, choosing instead to be captured along with the other innocents.

Seeing this defiance, Maximus did not press him too hard at the time. After all, the others under his command were still watching him closely. Any rash action against Silver Eyes would undoubtedly undermine his authority and make him appear tyrannical. So Maximus did not take too much offense outwardly. He simply separated Silver Eyes from his family members and relocated him to a remote detention facility far from the others, where he assigned six loyal rebel Inhumans to guard him carefully.

However, it now appeared quite clearly that the Inhumans guarding Silver Eyes were in grave danger or already dead, and Silver Eyes himself had joined forces with the humans.

"Glare Light, Dragon, you two go immediately and take care of Silver Eyes and that human he is working with. The rest of you, come with me and find Medusa and the others. They are the best weapons to use against my brother since he will hesitate to harm them!"

"As you command, Maximus!"

"Understood completely!"

The six rebels separated into two groups, with Glare Light and Dragon heading straight for Sebastian and Silver Eyes' location.

At the same time, Silver Eyes also saw through his abilities the dazzling light and Dragon rushing toward them with hostile intent, as well as the direction Maximus and the others were heading with murderous purpose. He immediately turned to Sebastian with urgency and said: "Master Sebastian, two very powerful Inhumans are coming this way—they are both dangerous rebels working for Maximus. And Master Maximus... Maximus has also brought people to find Master Medusa and the others. They are in danger!"

"Alright, I understand the situation!"

Sebastian raised his left hand into the air, and the mark of the raven appeared clearly on his palm glowing with dark energy. It connected instantly to the matching mark on Medusa's hand, and he spoke through the link: "Medusa, Maximus has brought three people to find you and your group. They are..."

Sebastian turned his head to look at Silver Eyes questioningly. Seeing this unspoken request, Silver Eyes immediately said with certainty: "Xo, Shake, and Blast!"

Sebastian relayed this information: "They are Xo, Shake, and Blast. Be extremely careful and stay together!"

"Understood, Sebastian!"

After receiving Medusa's reply confirming she heard the warning, Sebastian turned to look directly at the two people who appeared before him blocking the corridor. They were obviously Glare Light and Dragon, who had come specifically to eliminate Silver Eyes and anyone helping him.

Glare Light appeared to be an ordinary young woman at first glance, but her hair was a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of constantly shifting colors, transitioning seamlessly from one hue to another, as if her hair itself was made entirely of colorful light that danced and flickered.

As for the other Inhuman named Dragon, he was tall and powerfully built with an intimidating presence, his entire body covered in black scales that gleamed like armor, a thick crocodile-like tail extending menacingly from his lower back, and a pair of sharp curved horns protruding from his forehead. He truly looked like a humanoid dragon brought to life, and his name suited his fearsome appearance perfectly.
