Obito's expression remained calm as he controlled Susanoo to shield the gap below.
At the same time, Namikaze Minato flashed to the top of the Nine-Tails' head. Black seals spread across his palm as he pressed down toward the fox's skull.
But,
Before the seals could fully spread, Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan spun once, instantly shattering and dissipating them.
"How is this possible… my sealing technique…" Minato's face changed, showing a hint of shock.
Obito, manipulating the Nine-Tails, calmly repositioned himself above its head and looked at Minato. "Did you think separating me from the Nine-Tails would sever our connection? You're being far too naive."
The countermeasure left behind by Uchiha Madara inside the Nine-Tails was far more powerful than any seal Minato had mastered. After all, the Nine-Tails was essentially Madara's summoned beast!
Without the seal in place, Madara could have even summoned the Nine-Tails through his summoning jutsu.
This was a fail-safe Madara implanted deep within the Nine-Tails' spirit.
Obito, who inherited nearly all of Madara's power, could just as easily use this backdoor to control the Nine-Tails. Unless he himself was defeated, no sealing technique could sever his bond with the beast.
"Then…"
A cold gleam flickered in Obito's eyes.
Controlling both Susanoo and the Nine-Tails, he suddenly launched a fierce assault, blue sword energy combined with the chakra of the Nine-Tails' tails swept wildly in all directions.
Minato was forced to retreat using Flying Thunder God, while Hiruzen Sarutobi was blasted back hard, crashing into the streets of Konoha and coughing up blood.

Elsewhere,
Jiraiya was also struck by a tail swipe, sent flying backward. Thanks to his Sage Mode body, he avoided injury, but the force still sent him a great distance.
Jiraiya was Sarutobi's student, Minato was Jiraiya's student, and Obito was Minato's student…
Seeing his Sensei, his Sensei's Sensei, and even his Sensei's Sensei's Sensei all sent flying by a single blow stirred that overwhelming feeling of dominance in Obito's heart once more.
"Is this what Madara felt back then?" he murmured softly.
With every move he made, these legendary shinobi of the ninja world, renowned throughout the lands, felt as fragile and weak as ordinary ninja, utterly defenseless.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Obito controlled the Nine-Tails to continue hammering Sarutobi, Minato, and Jiraiya, driving the three back relentlessly.
Their strongest attacks had no effect against Susanoo. Standing before Obito wielding the Nine-Tails' power, they all felt an oppressive helplessness.
Cough…
Jiraiya was blasted back again, coughing blood as he looked toward the Nine-Tails. "So powerful… I never imagined even my Sage Mode…"
Konoha's two Hokage and one of the Legendary Sannin were clearly overwhelmed by a single enemy. Countless shinobi inside the village watched in horror.
Obito guided the Nine-Tails, slowly advancing toward Konoha.
He was in no rush.
Susanoo's power was immense, and combined with the Nine-Tails' chakra, he wanted to savor this invincible strength, to truly feel what Madara had once felt.
But,
Just then, a figure blocked his path.
It wasn't Kaede, nor Sarutobi, Minato, or Jiraiya.
It was a ninja dressed in green tight clothing, Might Guy's father,
Might Duy!
Thanks to Kaede, Might Duy had been promoted long ago to Konoha's Special Jōnin. Most of Konoha's ninja knew him, and Obito knew Might Duy as well.
But Obito showed no interest in this sudden obstacle. Calmly, he said, "You think you can stop me?"
He didn't bother to respond further.
A tail of the Nine-Tails whipped directly toward Might Duy.
"Watch out!"
Sarutobi, Jiraiya, and Minato all watched with concern. Minato's face shifted as he prepared to use Flying Thunder God to rescue him.
But in the very next moment, Might Duy, head bowed, slowly released his right thumb from his chest.
A burst of blood-red steam erupted explosively from his body.

The Eight Gates Formation!
Immediately,
Might Duy dodged the Nine-Tails' tail swipe and leapt into the air, clenching his fist as he hurled a punch at Obito.
Boom!
Bathed in crimson steam, his fist churned a visible pillar of air, crashing down on Obito's Susanoo.
In the shocked gazes of Sarutobi, Jiraiya, and Minato, the Susanoo, previously impenetrable, was riddled with countless cracks as if made of paper.
Boom!
Might D's punch shattered Obito's Susanoo, and the titanic air pillar slammed into the Nine-Tails' head.
The Nine-Tails' head deformed from the impact, its massive body thrown violently aside, crashing far away with a tremendous roar.
At that moment,
All the ninja watching from Konoha widened their eyes in shock and disbelief.
"Is that… Might Duy?!"
"Unbelievable… one strike and both the enemy and the Nine-Tails are sent flying…"
Might D had remained a Special Jōnin without promotion, a strange figure among the elite, powerful yet lacking in many other skills.
His greatest feat had been killing a single elite shinobi from another village.
But now, the power Might Duy displayed was more than ten times that.
This enemy that even Sarutobi, Jiraiya, and Minato couldn't break,
One punch had sent both the man and the Nine-Tails flying!

Minato looked stunned but then suddenly realized:
There's a chance now!
The Susanoo that was previously unbreakable, the very reason they could only hold off the Nine-Tails' invasion, was shattered.
With this, the situation was no longer hopeless. They finally had a real chance to win!
