Upon hearing those words from Obito, Namikaze Minato's expression immediately darkened.
There was no way he could believe that identity. Yet the massive chakra radiating from Obito, and the overwhelming power he wielded controlling the Nine-Tails, was unlike anything a shinobi from this era should possess.
In Minato's perception, even compared to Kaede, the difference was vast.
That enormous chakra… it was the strongest he had ever sensed.
"Looks like the Three-Tails' jinchūriki is also in Konoha."
Obito's eyes flicked toward the village's interior. His Mangekyō Sharingan detected the chakra signatures of Rin and Kaede, both familiar to him.
Now that he controlled the Nine-Tails, taking Rin along wouldn't be difficult. With his current strength, no one in the shinobi world could stop him, not Minato, not Kaede.
Their chakra paled in comparison to the Nine-Tails' immense power. It was like comparing a bright moon to a tiny firefly.
But just as Obito was about to decide whether to strike, a barrage of Flying Thunder God kunai flew toward him. Then Minato flashed beside him like a shadow.
"Rasengan!"
Minato thrust a spinning sphere of chakra toward Obito's chest.
He needed to confirm whether this person was truly Obito. Based on intelligence given to him long ago by Kakashi and Kaede, Obito possessed space-time abilities allowing him to pass through solid objects.
"Hmph!"
Obito snorted coldly at Minato's surprise attack. His eyes flared with power, unleashing a sudden surge of blue chakra.
Minato's Rasengan slammed into the blue chakra, but it exploded on contact with no effect, pushing Minato back instead.
Crackling sounds.
The blue chakra surged outward, forming a skeletal shape around Obito.
"That's… Susanoo!"
The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, who had just arrived nearby, saw this and paled.
"That's the power of Uchiha Madara!"
Susanoo was documented in Konoha's secret archives, knowledge left behind by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. Very few Uchiha could wield this power.
Buzz!
Obito's Susanoo extended a bony hand, grabbing straight at Minato.
Minato's face changed as he used Flying Thunder God technique to teleport out of reach.
But then the Nine-Tails beneath Obito erupted, sending out countless chakra claws that swiped toward Minato.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Minato kept dodging with Flying Thunder God, but the areas hit by the claws exploded nonstop, as if bombarded by powerful ninjutsu.
"This is the power of the Nine-Tails…"
"This is bad…"
Minato's face grew grim.
He couldn't confirm the identity of the enemy, but Susanoo was notoriously difficult to break through. The Nine-Tails was a massive threat.
Under these circumstances, sealing the Nine-Tails, or even severing the enemy's connection to it, was nearly impossible.
"Tobirama's Flying Thunder God technique? That guy could cause me some trouble, but you? You can only run."
Obito spoke coldly, fully assuming the role of Uchiha Madara.
At that moment, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, rushed over, rapidly forming hand seals. Suddenly, he split into four clones, releasing an intense chakra wave.
"Five Release Great Combo Technique!"
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
All five elemental ninjutsu, wind, thunder, water, fire, and earth, exploded simultaneously from the clones and original, colliding into Obito's Susanoo.
Still fighting near his peak, the battle-hardened Third Hokage immediately understood the strategy:
First sever the enemy's link to the Nine-Tails. Then push him back and seal the beast.
Boom!
The elemental barrage struck Susanoo's exterior, cracking the skeleton under the strain.
But Obito only snorted and activated his Mangekyō Sharingan again, surging chakra outward to disperse Hiruzen's attack.
Massive chakra gathered around Obito's body.
The blue skeletal frame rapidly gained muscle and skin, then armored itself with radiant plates, entering Susanoo's third form!
This was the ultimate Susanoo form available without Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, nearly identical to Uchiha Itachi's form, except for the unique blue tint of the chakra.
"How is this possible…"
Hiruzen's expression twisted in shock.
The combined ninjutsu he just used was the most powerful technique he had, yet it still couldn't breach the defense.
This truly was the legendary power of Susanoo!
Clash!
Several of the Nine-Tails' tails swept toward Hiruzen, instantly obliterating his clones.
He scrambled to evade but was still caught in the blast wave, sent flying backward by the fierce winds.
"So much growth over the years, yet this is all you've got?"
Obito stood at the center of Susanoo, manipulating the Nine-Tails to relentlessly chase Minato, casually knocking aside Anbu shinobi like ragdolls with a mere gesture.
Hearing Obito's voice and tone, Hiruzen's pupils shrank sharply as fear flashed in his eyes.
"You are…"
Whoosh!
Minato appeared beside Hiruzen, his expression grim.
"He claims to be Uchiha Madara… I don't fully believe it, but his power is beyond anything I imagined."
"Uchiha Madara!"
Both Hiruzen and the nearby Anbu were struck with shock.
Especially Hiruzen himself.
While some Anbu only knew Madara as a legendary rival of the First Hokage, Hiruzen understood what the name truly meant because he had seen Madara's power firsthand.
It was incomprehensibly strong, far beyond what most shinobi could reach.
Even the nine Tailed Beasts, considered the ultimate power, were mere toys in the hands of the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara.
