Chapter 166 - Chapter 166: Visit from a Goddess…Again

[3rd POV]

With the decision made that she needed to do something about the abuse that Amity was suffering, Wanda had already come up with a few ways to take care of that particular problem. Ways that would involve not making the poor girl pissed at her, and would still go about saving her from the abuse.

Most of them involved compulsion, like that of a Harry Potter spell. These would basically subtly make the other members of her family follow her to the bookstore, trying to figure out what she was doing, and why she was doing it without their permission.

Then, using this, she could just bait them into attacking her or something stupid, and from there she could easily take care of the problem. A simple curse would take them all out easily enough.

And if that was not enough, she could just offer Amity asylum in her home, where she could safely attend the school she actually enjoys going to (somewhat at least), while never having to worry about her siblings again. They wouldn't even be able to harm her, should this happen.

But she had to make it happen in the first place. And she had to do it in a manner that would not be noticed by Amity, and would not go too far in terms of how manipulative it might seem. The last thing she wanted was to make the girl hate her, or to make the girl think she was trying to manipulate her.

She wasn't Albus Dumbledore or something.

Glancing at the girl as she sipped on her tea, Wanda noticed that Amity was looking everywhere but towards her direction. Wanda had a feeling that the girl had realized that Wanda knew, or perhaps had an idea that the shop told her that much.

She was half tempted to just bring it up straight up, but she didn't want to scare her off. And once she scared her off, Wanda doubted that the girl would want to come back willingly. And if it was not willing, she would never go after her.

She wasn't one to force someone to work for her.

"Amity, honey, is there a reason why you don't want to look towards me?" Wanda asked, deciding to just ask. She didn't want to force the girl to interact with her, but Amity couldn't really do her "job" if she didn't look towards her for the entire day.

Amity, hearing her question, stilled. She tensed at the words, as she slowly turned to Wanda before giving her a strained, and very fake looking smile.

"I'm fine ma'am. I'm just working on this side of the store, that's all" Amity replied tensely.

"Wanda, Amity. And are you certain? You don't seem to be feeling well" Wanda reminded her, as the girl tensed even more, and seemed to be getting uncomfortable with the questions that were being sent her way.

Even if they were good questions.

"I'm fine, Wanda" Amity said, snapping at her slightly as she went back to work. While Wanda silently watched, sadness in her eyes as she could tell that the girl was trying not to show how much she was struggling day to day.

'...I'll have to do the compulsion plan. Can't push this off'

Slipping the compulsion onto Amity was not a problem at all, and had been easy enough. She had just applied it to the hair band she wore every single day, and made it so that the compulsion would only apply to blood relatives that are aggressive or antagonistic towards her.

She also applied another part that would make it so that they could not harm her at all. That way she could still lead them to the shop next time she comes in, while not letting them harm her at all.

It was the best way to go about it.

After Amity had left for the day, Wanda had kept the shop open for a few more hours. And it was later into the day that Wanda had gotten a rather curious visitor.

Athena.

"Athena? I was wondering when you'd be visiting my shop again. May I ask what you are here for?" Wanda asked, staring at the Greek Goddess. She had not seen her for quite some time at this point.

But that made sense, as she was busy, being a Greek Goddess and all. Not to mention the constant threat of war with the Titans and Giants and everything else that was all building up to become quite the threat to Olympus.

"The offer from before, does it still stand?" Athena asked, getting straight to the point.

Wanda raised an eyebrow at the question.

"You mean being owed every book in the shop, and then more in return for a drop of Primordial blood? Yes" Wanda replied, beginning to realize why the woman was here. And she could barely hide the excitement that was beginning to grow once she realized this fact.

"And what is the "Then More"? It must be quite a lot, if you truly wish to get primordial blood" Athena questioned, narrowing her eyes.

"Whoever delivers the blood would get a few things. For one, they'd get a permanent discount on all things I sell, 5% off. Next, they would get a singular item crafted by myself, made within reason. And finally, the most important and powerful of them all..." Wanda trailed off, with Athena looking curious about the item.

"Three wishes" Wanda finished.

"...Pardon? Three wishes? Three wishes for what?" Athena asked, frowning.

"Three wishes for anything, dear. I will grant any wish, so long as it does not negatively harm or affect anyone else, is within reason, and is not evil in nature" Wanda replied.

"...What are the limits of these wishes?"

"Hmm...not sure to be honest. I suppose I could make you a Primordial if you want. But I doubt you'd want that. And Khaos would probably be peeved if I did something like that. I could deal with the Titan problems you are no doubt having, but that would go against the fate of your universe, so that is also out of the question" Wanda replied, tapping her chin in thought.

"I guess it just matters what you'd wish for"

"If I was to make a wish that provided absolute protection to all Demigods, would that be doable?" Athena asked, her mind running at a million miles per hour.

"It would be. But the protection would only apply to demigods that are not evil. So most of them would be fine. And there will be certain situations that it simply will not work, like with prophecies, and of course in situations that they are not under threat. So sparring and such" Wanda explained.

Athena could barely hold back her excitement at the thought. As this would permanently change the landscape of the Greek world, and would massively help them. There would no longer be deaths of young children thanks to the attack of monsters, and there would no longer be deaths from other Gods that got jealous or arrogant.

It would make their lives far far easier.

"May I ask why it would not work with prophecies? I was under the assumption that you are above them" Athena asked, controlling her excitement.

"I am above them, Athena. But the little demigods are not. And fate in your universe is quite fickle, and very very binding. Not only that, but it can negatively affect the universe itself, causing instability and struggle with balance. Which would then cause Khaos itself to get involved. And I doubt you want that particular being breathing down your neck" Wanda explained, as the woman nodded slowly in understanding.

She was a little disappointed, but it was understandable. Nobody wanted to piss off Khaos, the one that created the primoridials and the universe itself. It was an entity that could literally snap its finger and wipe out the entire Greek pantheon.

It was similar to Wanda in that regard, even if it was dramatically weaker than her. Athena didn't know that fact, just that Wanda was an entity that was at LEAST on par with Khaos. She didn't know that Wanda could literally think Khaos out of existence.

She wouldn't find that out for much later.

"So, Athena, do you have something to show me?" Wanda asked, a small smirk on her face as Athena stared into her eyes, before slowly nodding, as she brought a small vial out of her pocket, power rippling out of it.

And this was of course, a vial of...

Primordial Blood
